I dont think the plan would help much, but hey, if they want to major in Nuclear Science or something of that sort - they can learn it in their own country.

So now that the US is closing itself off from the world we are seen as undemocratic? Please. The US still has the most lax immigration laws in the world. Finally, do you think any iraqi university would allow US students of suspect? It is really a matter of security and do not have a problem with it.

This hamster does have a problem with excluding Iraqi students from certain courses. Not concerned about the Iraqi students, as they will find schools in other countries.

What will be the next step?

MIT has begun making its courses available online. From the hamster perspective this is a very positive step that should benefit all humanity (and hamsters). If Iraqi students are prohibited from taking classes in US universities, it would seem likely that the government will next attempt to stop universities from making certain courses available online. Don’t want to see the US government dictating what universities may put on the Internet.

The very small chance that restricting Iraqi students will enhance US security does not seem worth the price of intellectual freedom certain to be paid.

I find it hard to take your opinion seriously when hampsters seem to benefit.

Shouldn't the title of this thread be "Bush's Limited Education"?
