About 40 words a minute plus punctuation etc, using one finger.

i cant do a test like that, i make too many errors that i usually go abck and correct later when im typing normally, but when i sat my highschool typing test i got to 35wpm on a qwerty(the test didnt go any higher) and i can type at least 150% faster on my dvorak.

I got 69. That's a shame. I used to be able to do 75 regularly.

    On the Querty keyboard:
    On the Dvorak keyboard:
I thought I could do 80 on Qwerty! That test is tough because you don't know what you're typing until you have to type it. I always type as I'm thinking, so it naturally comes to me faster. It could also be that I've been using Dvorak almost exclusively for the past few weeks. But still, I should've done faster than 62.

But hey, at least I'm faster on Dvorak than I realized.

It's worth noting that I'm a self-taught typer on both keyboard layouts.

I am not so fast with this 7 year old piece of shit keyboard I am using right now, only got 48 words per minute on German.

Using the English text, I get about the same results, but the programm slows me down a bit, inserting capitalised words where non belong and such things, but quite a nice thing to train fast and adaptive typing I think.

in that same window, a java applet should load up near the top. If you don't have java installed, you won't see it, or depending on your browser, you may not see it correctly.

There was a mistake in it! One of the words was "abtruse" when it should have been "abstruse." Abtruse isn't even a word. There are definetely better typing tests out there. I still can't beat 69, though I've gotten that score several times. It's addictive.

On others, I usually get 120ish. I lose time having to click where to type while the clock starts running. It should default you so you can start typing away without having to use the mouse. Also being able to only see one line at a time sucks as it kept making me mess up when a new line would come.
