No problem. Don't know if you're into the mystical aspects of Islam but it is said that the Prophet Mohammad had exactly 124,000 Companions. We are also told that on Earth there are always 124,000 Awliyah-Allah (Islamic term for ‘Saints’ or ‘Friends of God’) at one time. They each inherit from a Prophet, when they pass away it moves on to someone else.

From what i see and hear, muslims DO think its justified to commit terroist acts. I live in east london were there are thousands of muslims trying to turn the city into a fundamentalist gehtto. I have friends who are muslim but don't practice at all because they believe its a crock of shit religion hi-jacked by nutters. Britain has become too liberal with these dickheads. The UK is 96% white christian, and we have about 1.5 m muslims ( about, i think) they have an agender here. A load of them wrote a letter to Blair saying its our policys that steer young men to blow themselves up and that we should alter them. the government here basically answered them by saying their talking crap, nothing will alter british policy unless the voters want it. (yeh-right). Why do young muslims say that their muslim's first and british second? they are fortunate enough to live in a rich country but spend most of their time hating the place and reading the koran and ranting about bush and blair. silly twats.

Don't you know their only allegience is to the global Ummah and to one another? Maybe you should start doing your own independent research on Islam and not take what the Mainstream Media has to say on the matter ("Islam is peaceful!", "Islam means the religion of Peace", etc). For one thing, Islam does not mean "peace" as we so often hear from everybody - Islam means 'Submission'. Two very different things. I personally think just this distinction alone tells one a lot about Islam and its adherrants.
uh uh Islam is derived from the Arabic root "Salema": peace, purity, submission and obedience. We greet by saying: As-salaam aleikum (Peace be with you)
Actually I'm familar primarily with the Quran, history and philosophy of Islam. I've never really looked at the metaphysical aspects. Even my knowledge of Hadith is not much.

Actually I know Arabic. The regular intransitive stem salima, "to be safe", "to be secure", etc. In its second verbal form (sallama) it means "to make some one safe" and "to free", "to make secure", etc. In its third form (salama), it signifies "to make peace", or "to become at peace", i.e. to be reconciled". In its fourth form (aslama), it acquires the sense of "to resign", "to submit oneself" or "to surrender". A "Muslim" however means one who submits to the will of Allah, by definition.
The "word" Islam means peace, purity, submission and obedience. When we talk about "following Islam" we mean submission to the will of God as indicated by His Word (Quran) and His Messenger.
I'm not presuming to teach you your religion, i'm just asking that you don't deceive people into believing that Islam means "peace".
Islam is the religion of peace. Don't look at the ~15% in the ME or ~2% who are fundamentalists. Look at the ~80% who are mostly invisible. One in every five (almost every four) persons in the world is a Muslim.
