I wasn't sure where to put this so i decided to put it here. I was just wondering if someone could explain to me what the idfference between like majors and minors and then the degrees such as associates, bachelors, masters, PH.D. Also when you get a degree like do they say .."you need three math courses like such and such and here you have the option of these enligh classes and you are also goign to need either this this and this" or what? ALso could somebody explain the other basics of college/University. Also what are good combinations for business, political science, or law.

A bachelor degree is an "undergraduate" degree. You can enter a bachelor program with nothing other than school qualifications.

Masters and PhDs are "graduate" degrees. To get either of them, you usually need to have a bachelor's degree already.

Majors and minors are combinations of subjects. To get a bachelor's degree, you usually need a major - that is, you need to take a certain number of subjects from one subject group. For example, if you were doing a Science degree, you might choose to major in Chemistry, which would involve taking a certain number of Chemistry subjects in each year of your degree.

A minors doesn't count for much. It just tells you what the main non-major subjects you took were. For example, a Chemistry major might also have a minor in Mathematics, by taking a few maths subjects along the way.

In many degrees, there are compulsory subjects - particular professional degrees. Many subjects after first year also have pre-requisites, which means you have to have passed other subjects previously in order to be able to take those subjects.

Leave the guy alone. You don't know if he is really a "Sir". He might really have been knighted.
