latest windows update/explorer

    Maybe you have noticed the legal battle against MS for Interweaving explorer with the OS.

    That would be too much to ask for probably from you. That you didn't know doesn't disturb me.

    Sometimes when installing applications, they complain about not having the "latest" version of Internet Explorer and "installation cannot continue", even though its got nothing to do with the interent. I had this problem trying to install a video-card driver on an older (2 years) computer.

    Thats pretty annoying, I wonder if I will be forced into installing IE7 even if I don't use it.

    If you would like something like IE7, without headaches, try avant (I am using it right now) - updates are very fast, but it doesn't seem to have an automatic notification feature.
