E.T. scared me, too. That scene with the corn field at night in the beginning freaked me out sooo bad when I was little. haha

    Critters are fucking funny!
Really, it's such a comedy, I laughed my ass out watching Critters (and Critters2) as a kid.

The clown from IT, excellent imagination really helps a lot when watching psychological horror movies, i hate those. Monster movies like aliens are sweet however

E.T. was a pretty repulsive creep.
    Not scary, just dreadfully ugly.

The 50's Sci-fi classic 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' was probably the scariest Sci-fi movie to make and to watch it being made.

The spirit(s) from the Exorcist movies. I think it inhabited Janet Reno too.

Come to think of it, the most terrifying thing to me as a kid was that creature on the wing of the Airplane in the classic Twilight Zone episode. The one with Willaim Shatner, of course.

In the remake. Did you ever see the episode of third rock where William Shatner was complaining about his flight? He said "There was a damned monster on the wing!". John Lithgow said, "The same thing happened to me!"

Lest we not forget the great thriller sci-fi classic 'Killer Clowns From Outer Space' or is it 'Killer Klowns'?

Has anyone seen the movie Fire in the Sky? I watched that movie when I was a little kid and it scared me shitless. The greys in that movie were hella scary. Quick, mechanical and pretty rough able-bodied little critters. The depictions of the spacecraft and the operations were horrific as well, what with the purple goop and other things.

Awesome movie, but pretty traumatizing for a little kid.
