About two years ago, 21 year old John Hinrichs, a student at the heavily populated University of Oklahoma, was killed when a homemade bomb he was carrying around accidently detonated. He was extremely close to the OK Football stadium. Oklahoma's football program is one of the top 10 in the country, with home games drawing the 3rd biggest crowds last year. 2+2=4 right? Boy with known "emotional difficulties" decides to go to the most densley populated event at his school, strapped with an explosive, hoping to take some lives with him. As if that wasn't enough, his apartment was later found to be ridden with more bombs. So for those of us with common sense, this boy was a failed suicide bomber, whos last wish in life was to kill as many people as he could. Despicable, no? And yet, some students and the boys parents decided he was worth honoring and have begun work on building a stature to honor their little suicide bomber. This man put the lives of everyone in that stadium in danger, and sent a wave of fear over a huge university. And we decide to HONOR him? I mean, sure, remembering is fine, but honoring is for heroes, those who made a positive impact on the world. Those who did something great or set something great in motion. This man just failed at doing something terrible. And still, there are some who think we should honor him. What do you think? is it ok to put a statue of a failed bomber on site of the very campus he frightened and almost murdered on?

as we say in Brasil : NADA A VER! Geez what do these people who think he has to be honored have in their heads? bombs? chiken shit? c'mon!
What exactly does he deserve to be honored for? 1st degree pre-meditated murder? If so, then let's give every criminal on death row the medal of honor.
