what colour were the blob patches when you looked away from the sun? mine were a type of pulsating blue/purple/yellow/white colour. it didnt damage my eyes either, it wore off after about 5/10 mins,

    peace.

It varied, pretty much the same except I don't think I had purple and blue. Usually yellow from having it burned on the retina I guess.

What about when the sun reflects off a lake or something. That leaves the colored splotches in my eyes.

    "Look at that fish there!"
    "aaah"

In those cartoons, they make it seem so dull when the sun is reflecting off the ocean. It seems a lot brighter in real life.

I guess the mods got tired of warning idiots about bad ideas after page 1...

its stupid to hand out infractions for telling somebody to do something as a joke.

i told cho to go on a rampage and shoot up the campus but you dont see any negative actions comming from that do you.

    peace.

he is slightly bias, and most likely only gave raven an infraction for it so he could also give me one without seeming bias.

    peace.

shorty, this has nothing to do with any mood of mine. As I explained to the people who received infractions, it is completely irresponsible to encourage people who may not know any better to engage in acts which may result in permanent injury.

I wonder how many people in history stared extensively at the sun. Like when sun worshiping was popular.

I googled and came across some site that commented about Galileo staring at the sun through a telescope( http://mintaka.sdsu.edu/GF/vision/Galileo.html), and saying this is not why he went blind at 72, rather from cataracts and glaucoma. At that time he hadn't looked at the sun for a long time. Galileo did his observations of a sun through a telescope and still didn't go blind.

That should be a safe time to look at the sun.

I actually googled with a couple of variations for cases of people going blind from staring at the sun and didn't find any.

    Perhaps this is greatly exaggerated.
