All the other consoles have had their own teething troubles. For instance European release dates of the PS3 were shifted back by 6+ months and Nintendo's Wii had problems with its wrist straps breaking.

It's just the way it goes otherwise we'd have to wait a number of years while a product was being completely tested and it's QA system was tested as well.

Yeah, I know. My PS2 crapped out on me as well. And if you remember the 1stgen Nintendo, sometimes the console wouldn't read the games, so you had to take the cartridge out and blow on it to get it to work. Haha.

    Microsoft still sucks though.

I have a first or second generation 360, and it's never given me trouble.

I can't stand microsoft, partly for the substandard products that are always released but more so for the O/S's constant lack of compatability with apps etc they don't have an agreement with and worse still the rubbish games they make save one or two in 10 years!
Nintendo make the best consoles and games usually despite being more child orientated, though the Wii seems so.... Amateurish? The games look like "and I'd want to do play this because....?"
I'm sticking with a PC, most console games come out on it anyway, it's just as good and far more versatile.

I agree with Stryder, my 1st gen XBOX gives not a single lick of trouble, I got it long after it was released. Waiting for the usual teething problems to subside before I go 360.

Anti-Flag: correct, Nintendo releases way too many fluff games. XBOX and Playstation have the wider selection by far.

But I eventually swayed from my PC only stance because a couple games I wanted were released on console only.

The only way I can see to determine your generation of XBOX is to actually buy it from Microsoft or an authorized distrubuter, then it's gonna be the latest, otherwise how can you know what ya got

Lol true...but my old Xbox would have been one of the later releases with whatever fixes built in.

Bill Gates is in league with Lucifer.

You would think..if any program should work right under windows....it would be a freaking Microsoft product...I mean..It's THEIR freaking operating system.....but noooooo.....they have to do things their way...the crappy way...the "suck every dollar you can from the customer" way.

I'll get off my soapbox now.
