(Insert title here) Scads. It's one of the things that makes me like a song. Rheostatics - "You Are a Treasure" Screaming Trees - "Dollar Bill" Peter Gabriel - "Secret World" Elton John - "Harmony" Tanita Tikaram - "Swear By Me" Floater - "On the Table" Flaming Lips - "Buggin' (Remix)" Beach Boys - "Wouldn't it be Nice" and so on, and on, and on .... Perhaps it goes without saying, but I prefer bands that can alter my mood as a general rule, and not just by a song. And not all of it is designed to mellow me out or make me happy. "Wouldn't it be Nice" actually makes me sad. There was a period of several years where I couldn't listen to the song at all. It reminds me of a friend I never actually knew, and that makes me sadder than hell. Hope, of course, is the most powerful sentiment in any of the songs, and it can be an incredibly subtle injection. Yeah you come and you go like a breeze just as fast as you're able, And the last thing that you would ever do is put your cards on the table. The glow of the neon shows you're only spinning a fable; I know what you are, I know what you are. Why does everywhere that you end up feel so crowded? Used to think you could find peace but you're starting to doubt it. Tell me, if no one ever hears what you say then why don't you shout it? I know what you are, I know what you are, and it's scaring me to death. I heard you speak aloud your secret shibboleth. All of the wisdom of the ancients won't change what's inside of you. You can close your eyes but that's not gonna take away the view. I know what you are. (Floater, "On the Table")
this one always makes me feal better: papa roach: what do you do? I got a one-way ticket on a hell-bound train With nothing to lose and nothing to gain Nobody ever taught me how to live I'm feeling like I'm lost, like I'll never be found I'm twisted and I'm turned around Nobody ever taught me how to love I'm hurting everybody I'm hurting myself I'm desperate So what do you do When it all comes down on you? Do you run and hide Or face the truth? So what do you do When it all comes down on you? Do you run and hide Or face the truth? If you were to tell me that I'd die today This is what I'd have to say I never really had the time to live And if you were to give me just another chance Another life, another dance All I really want to do is love I'm hurting everybody I'm hurting myself I'm desperate But what do you do When it all comes down on you? Do you run and hide Or face the truth? [What Do You Do? lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com] So what do you do When it all comes down on you? Do you run and hide Or face the truth? When all is said and done You could be the one With open arms and open eyes You're jumping off the edge I'm hoping you can fly Accept your fate for what it is Into the Great Unknown Yeah!! So what do you do When it all comes down on you? Do you run and hide Or face the truth? So what do you do When it all comes down on you? Do you run and hide Or face the truth? So what do you do When it's all turned around on you? Do you run and hide Or face the truth? So what do you do? What do you do? What do you do? Do you run and hide Or face the truth? Got a one-way ticket on a hell-bound train With nothing to lose and nothing to gain...

Tupac is a zombie rapper who continues to release albums, despite being dead for quite some time. It's a well known fact in the hip-hop community that his reanimated corpse is chained up in the basement of Death Row Records, occasionally Flava Flav comes in and feeds him the brains of cops that they caught in a special donut trap.
neil young: southern man grateful dead: ripple, looks like rain traffic: blank page rolling stones, monkey man, sympathy for the devil i could go on for EVER ! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
While I'm not a huge fan of Tupac, he was certainly better than the 50 Cent/Usher/Eminem crap that's popular now. Unconditional Love was an amazing song.

No, some are just back ground noise, the radio is all ways on at work and 99% of the time i could not say who the performers are, it is only when certain songs are played that i actually listen.
