If you get an infraction its purely because the moderators are now attempting a form of consistency. After all having various forums with some control and others without any is leading to bleed-overs from one forum into another. The usage of infractions also allows moderators to get a better history of a poster in regards to their posting style, if they are a repeat abuser... well you know what happens. If you all keep it friendly and don't resort to dragging personal attacks across the subforums (since there shouldn't be any) we'll all get along fine... Otherwise we'll have to send out the clandestine policeforce where you'll be held for a week with no bail and questioned by a special elite trained squad of torture experts. (I am known to fabricate when it comes to sarcasm.)

I hate this thread. But, if as stryder is saying the mods are trying to be consistent, does that mean that I can point to someone and say "you have broken a rule" and PM skinwalker? Or... JAMES!?
That is unjust. It is no fair for me to recieve infractions while others do not. If I recieve an infraction and someone else does not, I will PM a mod every time a person makes a mistake. Justice shall prevail.
Brent, no one ever said that ANY part of life is fair or just. You are dealing with different personalities here (the mods) and they are going to see things differently at times. In fact, you sure are a prime example of someone who should NOT complain about anything along those lines. Because time and time again you show a total lack of consistency of things here. Sometimes you are consistent but at others you run contrary to things you've said earlier. I realize that's probably a result of your problems you've described so I'm not taking you to task over it - simply pointing out that if ONE person cannot stay on the same track all the time, how do you expect several different individuals to do so???

No, Brent, it wasn't a personal attack in the least. I'm simply pointing out that it's hardly logical to expect a GROUP of people to agree on something when a single individual cannot always do so - yourself or anyone else who shifts positions fairly often.

Republic's and Democracies to my knowledge never have a 100% agreement, thats because people are different, some people grate on each other and purposely vote different from one another. Well it's the same in moderation although to be fair most of us do try to see both sides of peoples arguments to work out what should be done with them or the thread they have participated in. Admittedly "Who cast the first stone" shouldn't be the only person to potentially have warning's or infractions, since rarely does an issue arrive just from one observed personal attack. (The attacks have probably occurred for months previously on other threads) This again gives reason though why we are looking at consistency, after all infractions will be a history of what people have done in the past and allows them to be weighed up properly. (In fact I've even had to start dishing out Infractions, something I never really did previously but just so other moderators get the infraction notes to know who did what, to whom and in which sub-forum.) On the subject of infractions themselves, I wouldn't take it to heart if you get a one or two from time to time. They wear off eventually, just try to keep your head down during that time.
