It sickens me as an american to be here a year later and nothing has been done! We are still in the same spot as 9/10 just airports are annoying. This should have began after Kenya or the Cole. But America is another paper tiger just like the U.N. I myself feel that we should leave the U.N. and do what we need to do. No! Have to do. We must protect ourselves from further terrorist attacks.

As I often point out to my employees, it is easy to complain. Don't present what you perceive as a problem without also presenting a solution. This shows that you have actually put some thought into it.

What would YOU have us do?

    Peace.

If we leave the UN and do whatever we want to (or, or...need to) then the US will surely be invaded by the countries remaining in the UN and set up as a more democratic institution, even if we were the guys that inspired everyone else to become democratic in the first place (methinks).

    O.K.

We should say what we do and do what we say!!!!

Does it unnerve anyone that the U.N. hasn't been in Iraq to inspect for weapons in FOUR YEARS!!! Funny, I remember the U.N. (U.S.) saying that the inspections were manditory.

O.K. So think of it this way, PAPER TIGERS. We seem like a country with no bite. Sure we talk a good game. But, when it comes down to it we have to PLEAD our case to the U.N. or be scorned by (the world).

If the U.N. won't enforce anything why should we sit back and do nothing. WE ARE THE MOST POWERFUL COUNTRY ON THE PLANET! WE HAVE THE POWER TO DESTROY OURSELVE AND JUST ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE ON THIS PLANET!!! Put a F***NUT in power here and guess what were back in the stone ages.

I think that we (THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) should stand it's ground and do what's right. Get rid of terrorism everywhere.

Iraq is one of the biggest headache's on the planet. when they get the power to destroy anything major it will happen. Why?

    WE (U.S. U.N.) ARE A PAPER TIGER!!!!!!!!

If it comes down to being ivaded by the U.N. I'll welcome it with open arm's and a bullet. I think the U.S. can hold it's own against any POWERS THAT BE.

    Re: O.K.

200% Impossible. Even if we eradicate terrorism, new terrorism will spring up. That is the whole basic premise of terrorism, and it is impossible to escape it. We must deal with it as it comes.

    Why haven't they yet then?

And again, 200% false. There is always the common misconception my americans (I AM american as well) that we can hold off the entire world. False. Are you forgetting: South Korea (Whos millitary and national guard is far, far larger than ours) China, Israel, ALL of Europe, and assorted countries in asia and the middle east.

China and South Korea could shell us to the gound. The Europeanse could too. And other assorted assorted countries banded together could destroy us. We're not invincible, we're just excessive americans with large house, large soda cans, and wasteful automobiles.

And if we're unlucky and hastefully attack Iraq, we could be destroyed.

Sometimes, I think we have done enough for the UN. That we should allow some other country to be the host nation for the body that meets.

Many times the third world nations attempt to hijack the agendas. As such, it makes mockery of the the UN.

It seems that the UN is another excuse to load the membership with both industrial and political spies. Some counties practice this a matter of standard. Putting the UN at some nation like Kenya (for example) would slow down the legions of spies that seem to infest the body.

Saddam is not out of the woods, by any means. He may soon find out that thumbing his nose may have cost him more than he thought.
