    In a society where suicide would be seen as the ultimate shame, wouldn't it be largely under reported?

    Greenburg, from past reading, the primary methods of suicide in Japan are knives and poisons. Which I understand are their primary methods of killing people, too.

    However, it's been too long since I read it and can't remember the source, other than - I think - it was an international report on homicide in general.
