No :bugeye:. It's only now that i have grown up, i do realise it's unnecessary, but a part of me still sees it as being preferable. But i would agree with the point that it is unnecessary.
There must be some sick psychological reason for parents wanting to mutliate their children for none other than cultural/cosmetic reasons - parents initiating their children into gender or something. Strange really. Initiation is meant to be done at an age when the child understands what's going on. Doing it so early means that parents are doing it just for their own benefit. Which is sick.
I agree with Avatar. It's cruel, hurtful, and it serves no purpose. If a child can learn to clean properly, there's no reason to do it.
my cousin had his ears pinned back when he was a kid. It made his life a lot easier. Don't know why you think surgery on children is mutilation. My child had a labial frenectomy. That wasn't mutilation.
http://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs241/en/ how is type one different from male circumsion? ITS NOT both are wrong unless a) you chose to do it to yourself or b) its done for clinical reasons
Compare it to a male circumcision on a newborn and you tell me: Male circumcision. WARNING.. GRAPHIC PICTORIAL CONTENT..

look at type one (and yes i have actually SEEN type IV). Do i see a difference between cutting the skin off the top of the cliterious and cutting the skin off the top of the penus? NOPE I dont
It basically shows a newborn baby boy strapped into a "Circumstraint". And it has a pictorial review with description of what is being done to the child during the procedure. How anyone could do this to their child for no medical reason is beyond me. It is just as frightening as the description of a female circumcision.
[ lol, not looking, thx. I don't think pain is an issue for infant male circumcision. More from your link: Not slightly like male circumcision in those respects.
