Observe this article http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/30/AR2006033001341.html Some interesting things it describes are: What they're finding is it's normal now for young men to lack ambition and have no real direction in life. So much for comments made I should be achieving more in life ehh? What about you though do you feel like you've achieved anything you set out to do? Did you have definite goals.
Girls are driven? by what? their hair and makeup? I've seen just as many girls as guys with a lack of ambition. I always work towards my goals and I often times have a tendency to get obsessed with anything that I try to achieve. Often times I've skipped going out to parties or just hanging out with friends to do homework or play some music; and then its my slacker "non ambitious" pot smoking friends who think I have no ambitions in life. Its all about what you want, I don't really see this as much of a problem though since there are plenty of people in this world, if everyone was ambitious, that means you'll have to try even harder to be successful. Use it as your advantage and don't complain about it.
There is no real success, it's taken away from you the moment you find it. Others will pursue it and make you suffer for your desire of it. Good luck. New link to more data http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/6542007.stm
If you ask me it is because of the lack of physical exercise in males in the modern day and age. Thanks to the advantages of technology the amount of manual labor is reduced. Thanks to the advances in entertainment and computers the kids now stay inside. The amount work an average man does in a day is not enough for even a work-out. This lack of work or exercise causes the testosterone levels to lower in males. This leads to men with less confidence and energy levels.
All I know is my 2 sons wouldn't be living here at 26 contributing nothing but playing video games all day.
