The hydrazin sulfate compound was said to cut off the tumor's absortion of glucose, which will deprive it of energy and eventually weaken and kill it. Hydrazine sulfate does not make tumors shrink or go away. In some trials, however, hydrazine sulfate was helpful in treating anorexia and cachexia caused by cancer.

    So..yes and no?
Isn't cachexia the result of the tumor's glucose absortion?

Hydrazine Hydrogen Sulfate, or Hydrazinium Bisulfate [N2H5]HSO4 was indeed tested/used as an alternative to treating Cachexia as an inhibitor of the enzyme phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, which interrupted Gluconeogenesis in animals. Discovering this, scientists tried to use it to prevent or reverse Cachexia and/or weight loss. However, three studies were excecuted, and all three did not show much change at all in body weight, appetite, or overall survival that could be directly linked to the Hydrazine Sulfate.

It would seem that studies on this show it actually does nothing, which indeed is a pity. I can't help but wonder though, why would you be asking such a specific question?

  8. To be any effective, hydrazine sulfate needs be inversed...

Of all of the alternative treatments for cachexia, perhaps Hydrazine Sulphate is the best known. The reason is that it was designed specifically for cachexia.

Hydrazine Sulfate blocks the cachexia cycle in the liver and cesium chloride blocks the cachexia cycle in the cancer cells!! Both cesium chloride and hydrazine sulfate are complex treatments and have many restrictions.
