You're right. Right wing pundits generate more excitement because they peddle a message of hate and division. It's the same fire and brimstone tactics that the medieval Popes were using when they were selling tickets out of Hell to the populace. They appeal to emotional thinkers, not logical thinkers. Thats why they stick to issues that dredge up negative emotions like Terrorism, Immigration, Race, and Patriotism.
Must of learned that from the Left wing Pundits of the pre-Rush days, as they were the only people allowed to speak on the Radio and TV, back then. Rush arrived and changed the parodying, and the left wing talk show died a sudden death, from lack of interest, lack of ratings (which translates as that they didn't generate sponsor revenue] and boring and illogical, subject matter that even their liberal listeners couldn't stomach. If your message is so great? why don't it sell? If your message is so great? why don't people listen to it? If your message is so great? why do people in drives turn the dial? Logical thinkers don't listen to illogical thought's, and the left has the corner on the illogical thought market. Now I listen to him because he is the only thing I can get on talk radio. But at least it informs me as to what he and his coherts are doing and gives me a chance to pick apart is illogical arguements. But frankly, it gets boring. The same old fallacies, I can tell you what he is going to say before he says it. So now, as much as I like talk radio, am moving back to FM. One more point of reference, the pre Rush era was the era of the Fairness Doctrine that would not allow Limbaugh, Fox and Hanity to do what they do. Back then you had to give both sides of the story.

I was a McCain supporter before he stabbed me in the back and became a Bushie...those seven plus years ago.
