No, unless you are going for a green funeral. Are you aware of the chemicals they put in and on you when you get a standard burial ? It is hugely polluting.

Yep, but there are green burials. I don't know to what extend you can pick the place though, but probably not at all outside of cemeteries. Why sitting up ?
I want all my closest friends and family to gather at the lakeside. My body will be pushed out into the lake in a wood canoe. Each member of the funeral will then be given a bow and flaming arrow. A cascade of fire will ignite my canoe, and I will be cremated and given back to the earth.

it probably doesn't matter. when i'm dead i'm dead. cremation is less freaky maybe... but i don't think i'm gonna care about that in my afterlife.
