i surpose it depends how quickly you want the game to end.

If its one wrong lynch the games over then it could well end in the first round before the game gets interesting because if say the mafia posted "lynch x" then the game ends because either i DONT lynch that person and so the mob knows who the mafia is or i do and thats a lynched cop and therefor the game ends

I think that says it the best. Even if its 2 votes no lynch one vote for me one vote for inzomnia its still a no lynch

I would enter this game except it seems like it takes way too much commitment and vigilance, and you would have to be on the computer 24-7...

The old mafia game I played in the past had a different way of doing things... 4 citizens, 2 cops, 2 mafia. The cops got one "investigation" per round, and the mafia got one assasination per round, the cops couldn't say "I'm a cop" because that would get them lynched, and the mafia would have to pretend to be citizens. Citizens wouldn't know who was mafia or cops, but the cops knew who all the cops were and the mafia knew who all the mafia were.

There would be discussion and the whole group would vote as to who gets lynched.... but I suppose this only works at a table with cards, because watching facial expressions is a big part of it. 2 lynchings per round, one by mafia and one by citizens/cops... and the mafia gets to vote

my estimation is that if everyone is online it could be as quick as maybe an hour or 2 because i can speed up time as soon as everyone decides they are ready to vote one way or the other

. If you look at the rules, after a certain point there isn't much you can do, the nights just go by quicker because there is only one guy who chooses who to kill.
