So why didn't your mother leave him?

    Oh everyone dies, eventually.

Because she had a child with him, which is a very legitimate excuse in our culture. Stop thinking like a Westerner.

Those who don't fear death never die. Your mother accomplished nothing, and she leaves behind no legacy. She's dead, and in the worst way, too.

    I feel sorry for you.

So she stuck to him because of you. Wonder what he thinks about that.

She would have stayed with him, with or without a child. In our culture, marriage is a sacred contract, and it is not easily broken. Once you accept your partner, you take the marriage to your grave. I'm not here to debate whether or not that is a good system, but it is what it is.

Of course it does. Your mother is a completely forgettable woman, and nobody but yourself cares about her. My father is different.

Of course. Others talk highly of my father; your mother talked about others.

    Worlds apart.

So you think its more important what others think of you than that your family loves and respects you?

    Ugh.

I wish the ignore function kept people's posts out of quotes.

What did you do, Kadark? Rape more women than anyone else in your family?

I think in Muslim cultures, religious Muslims earn a lot of respect from people. I have seen this in my family as well. Our societies tend to be patriarchal, with emphasis on the well-being of the youngest and oldest members in the family the most.

Kadark, one of the main reasons for respect in this world of other people of you must be related to how religious you are. mashallah. Your father must be proud, and as any father would be.

Leaving behind a legacy is more important than anything else. If you offer no legacy, then you never truly existed.

My dad's family respects and loves him very much, myself included; however, he has never known how to properly raise his children. That's a downside of his. We all have some, you know.

There's no shame in admitting it. Not all of us are cut out to be parents, yourself included.

I've already given you the answer. If you don't want to believe me, I don't care; however, I'm telling you now not to say I "rape women".

Thanks, DH, although it's safe to say that I pale in comparison to you.
