Hellfire? What? No damnation? Next you're going to start saying evolution is a myth and that God created Adam and Eve, blah blah blah..
Now look here, you. God created evolution and hellfire. Otherwise where would he put the evolutionists? It's common bloody sense.
Is defensiveness a prideful response? I think it is. A humble person would understand that they might be wrong. They get pretty upset don't they? So much so that they ignore the facts because they have faith in their belief, correct? That is the definition of ignorance. So the answer is ignorance and pride.
wow i love the fact that my post started an enire discussion,, sorry guys i've been away for a while..... It's funny i also think that a lot of atheists are theists.... this is going to start a whole new discussion... maybe i should start a new post. A lot in modern day science is based on theories.... like for instance the big bang theorie which is the creation STORY of the atheists..... nothing is actually proven, its just theories that support theories.... anyway thanx for posting everyone
As i have said in other Religious threads. I believe that Christianity for one, is not 100% factual, no Religion is. However, I think the effect of the religion is what makes Religion itself so great. How the teachings of a religion affect you is what religion is truly about to me. That is why I choose to be Christian over all other religions. Does that mean I believe everything the bible and scriptures say? Absolutely not, but i find the moral teachings of Christianity to be the most accurate tool towards a better life. With that said, I find the teachings/ancient writings of other religions to be true/necessary to follow as well. Although I am a Christian by heart, I find the Sun to be the center of all life and without it, nothing we know would exist. I find aspects of many Religions to be true.
