It would appear if we take for the subject a hermit that investigates his area with a loving of lonliness that deep fed desires could haunt him/her. Say that his desires are to understand that others perceptions are misguided or something and this leads him to what conclusions? Conclusions based on some possible truth? That our reality as we know it is blind and controlled and secretive from our view. That our reality has an aspect about it that is real that we do not know about nor are aware of.

    What do you think.

With every moment that passes by, a new reality is born. I still maintain that we cannot know true reality. We are not capable, nor do we Human Beings have the capacity to know such a standard. That is why there has been so much silly debate that has continued since the beginning of this question. We create our own realities. That is the closest explanation I can give. Don't waste too much time trying to figure it all out, because there is nothing to figure out.

The truth of reality is that you ARE this reality and that your only interpretation of it is to live/experience it.
It can not be understood intellectually anymore than saying the word "water" will quench your thirst.

Reality is perception. What is reality outside it?

I would agree with him, but I wouldn't call our senses misguided.. just not 'perfect'.

Ah, another link in the chain which has inexorably broke, which is why you admirably come here to conclude these preceedings.

To be obsessed with how one's perceptions integrate, is holding you from a more obvious truth. It all comes down to cause and effect. The world effect's you, you however like to analyse the cause.

    (No offense)

There is, by definition, only 1 reality which encompasses all that is real. If the universe is a trillion times bigger than thought, that is yet all part of reality. If there are googolplex parallel universes, that is all part of reality. If there are gods or sorcerers or ghosts, they are part of reality. If we're in an artificial simulation, that is part of reality.
Different perceptions do not mean different realities. Different situations do not mean different realities. Different viewpoints do not mean different realities. There is no such thing as my reality & your reality.
It could be that no 1 perceives reality as it truly is. Most people's perceptions are severely flawed. Many seem not to want to perceive reality.
Examples abound of several witnesses to an event having several versions of it. That does not mean there was a dfferent event for each. The event seems different to each witness. The 1 event & differing perceptions are all part of the 1 reality.
Everything genuine is real. Everything fake is real. Real & genuine are not synonyms.

But you are inferring he/she knows about "others" perceptions however they are hermits , living alone as you have stated, with only their own perceptions of their own realities. So how is it they now have knowledge of others perceptions when they see only what is in their single point of view? So only knowing what they understand reality to be unto themselves, they could never grasp the reality of anyone other than themselves with any certain reality. They would only be "groping" at what could be, might be, or possibly be happening to others they know nothing about.

The term perception is an illusion. The reason why, is because the world is mindlike. Remove every mind from the world today, where would the world then exist?

The world wouldn't exist to those who have lost their minds, only to those who have a mind to understand with. The world would exist to aliens who could see it from their own points of view.

Yeah I understand what you're saying.

I don't exactly try to "understand the cause." You just think I do. If you can show me one example of my trying to understand the cause I would be perfectly satisfied [this is the point: it is impossible and you can't. Only part of the reason for this thread... Go on. Show me one example (hint: the word one)]
