I have fungus in my left little toe. I have been reading a lot on treating it. I know there is an oral antifungal medication, but that takes 12 months to make a difference. I ended up pulling out the nail last night and have started applying hydrogen peroxide to the nail bed as a treatment. I knew that I would not be able to get directly to the fungus if the nail was left there. Anyone else tried this or another treatment?

Hydrogen peroxide is just going to further degrade the skin around it and will make the infection worse.

Fungi is highly resistant to OTC meds. You'll have to drag your ass to the doctor.

ive heard that regular application of a mild acid will kill off fungal infection. whether than comes in the form of a vinegar swab or urinating on your toe in the shower is up to you.

You might try tea tree oil.

Dont feel too bad. I have a chronic condition of sebborrheic dermatitis on my face. The inflamations come and go but there is no way to completely get rid of it. It's caused by, what most believe to be, yeast, or excess yeast. It gets nasty sometimes. Though doctors haven't been able to prove it, I believe it can be hereditary because my mother has the same thing.

go to a store which deals in Natural remedies ( I don't know where you live )

a few years ago I bought a " yeast buster kit " it works wonders

but be prepared , allow at least 2 days in a row , because you will feel very , very , tired , potentially , I know from experience , because of the yeast your killing off

    but it works

( and if you can afford it , make an appointment with a Naturaopathic Doctor )

I used to have fungus on my bottom part of my foot, the way I removed is was antifungul cream, I also used liquid nitrogen freezing method. Being active is very import to get rid of fungus, as it allows blood flow to circulate and the body to fight against the infection.

however fungus and the growth thereof is usually a symptom of yeast-infection , in your blood

as I suggested in the above post use a " yeast buster kit " it is a healthy way to go , if nothing else

    1) Quit caffeine.

    2) Drink more water and 100% juices.

    3) An oatmeal/avocado/honey mask will help with the inflammation.

    4) Look into other suggestions.

Well, I don't drink anything caffinated.

I do drink A LOT of water and juice

A certain zinc spray works best. Found it at Walgreens.

Nope, I live a pretty healthy lifestyle aside from being a smoker. And no, I don't take a multivitamin. They make me sick. Seriously. Don't know what it is, but something in em really crashes my immune system and I get sick for a few days everytime a take one.

The iron will make your tummy AWFUL on an empty stomach. I take prenatal vitamins and they still make me feel like throwing up, even with a small meal. I just eat something with it and try to sit down for 30 minutes, and that makes it tolerable.

Also, if your iron is 13.5 or higher, just take one without iron.
