i think that, as ironic as it seems in this thread, our "sexuality" (and i really don't like that term because it), has a lot to do with conformity.

I AM gay because that is the way I AM. I didn't choose it and odds are I probably wouldn't have chose to be this way if in fact I even had a choice. Heterosexuals have a lot of benefits that I unfortunately cannot enjoy by loving the same sex. Heterosexuals aren't discriminated on for being straight by people like you. They don't lose their friends when someone says "Hey guys, I got something to tell you. I'm straight". Heterosexuals don't get disowned for being heterosexual. I'm lucky enough to have wonderful parents and family who love me for who I am but not all homosexuals are as lucky.

But I've accepted who I am and I love who I am, gay or not.

 

In summary, whether I chose to be gay or not. It doesn't matter, because I'm happy with who I am. And anyone who says I shouldn't be or is not happy with me for who I am can go suck a toad.
