As was stated earlier, your idea of success is not universally acceptable. Nobody here can help you to see things that way Norse, because you've made up your mind. I need to leave now, but I hope this discussion continues. It's very enlightening, if anything.

The problem is that we value human life too much, to the point where we are incapable of making strategic and logistical decisions about it.

Okay, you are a troll. Furthermore, you are a libertarian/anarchist troll. As a libertarian, you are on the menu right there next to vegans and pro-lifers. If you are food, you have to earn your recognition as a human being, rather than an entree. As a troll, you do not earn your recognition as a human being. Therefore, in order to get yourself off the menu, you must prove that you are a serious poster, not a troll. Let's see if you can give a fair and balanced response to the below.

Like the Communist Manifesto, you are not going to find anything in the original doctrine that openly espouses radical nationalism or the persecution of innocent human beings. What defines the doctrine is how it is put into practice, and doctrine was eventually put into practice by madmen.

Also, the fascists called for an aggressive nationalist policy, which is in line with many conservative and tory factions in modern times. Nationalism was the lifeblood of fascism, as it was put in practice, and the fascists implemented a highly chauvinistic policy in their dealings with other nations.

Nationalism is what American conservatives call for in their ideology. They demand that you stand for the pledge, and many of them feel that you should put under pressure from stigma or libel to do so. I urge you to take for example the treatment of Barack Obama when, acting in line with official protocol, he refrained from putting his hand over his heart while facing away from the Flag of the United States of America. Well, the fuss that was made over this incident by the right-wing is illustrative of what fascism really stood for when it was put into practice. A fascist state expects your eyes to glaze over and your mind to stop thinking everytime you think about the flag, which is a piece of fucking cloth.

Under a fascist state, you are not only expected to support your government. You are expected to enthusiastically revere it, and it is not considered to be acceptable to criticize your government publicly. Well, the conservatives gave us another example of their fascism during the war against the people of Iraq: anybody who did not support the war against the people of Iraq was publicly lambasted and ridiculed for being "anti-American." Just as soon as my society attempts to publicly castrate me for disagreeing with the government's agenda, I know that I am living in a fascist state.

In fact, it was truly nationalist ideology that made fascism as evil as it was. The reason that fascism seems to be superficially secular is that it really calls for the idolatry of the state. In practice, state idolatry is the only thing in society today that can truly be said to be the polar opposite of atheism. It is the polar opposite of atheism because, where atheism asks us to question, state idolatry persecutes the questioner. Where atheism asks us to think, state idolatry demands that we let the state do the thinking for us.

Look what the conservatives are doing, man. They are calling on us to pray to a piece of cloth. This is evil. It is obviously evil, and it is the duty of decent people to stand up against it. We think religion is bad. At least the monotheists believe in something that is so distant and abstract that it can't really affect anything. Religion is a small-fry, a nothing, a gnat compared with the evil that has been done in the name of false idols. Because of the idolatry and superstition that infested religion during the Middle Ages, I'm not even sure how much monotheistic religion is truly to blame for all that went wrong.

As it stands today, idolatry is what the GOP stands for. They do not stand for religion. They do not stand for morality. They do not stand for integrity. They stand for a cult that is based on putting the state practically into the same pantheon as the Christian god. If we are going to survive, then American Protestants and atheists must remember that they are and always have been warriors for the same cause. Idolatry is evil. We both know this.

The conservatives support welfare as long as it might benefit the state. Only they call it a "safety net."

The conservatives support religion as long as the government gets to have a say in it.

The conservatives support the American worker as long as he doesn't think for himself too much.

The conservatives call on us to treat the armed forces like national heroes, but they shoot rubber bullets at people who act like the heroes who helped bring about modern democracy.

The conservatives ridicule Democratic politicians who are observant of the polls. During the election of 2004, they were calling the Democrats "poll-chasers" as a term of ridicule. Political polls are a way of making sure that the voting population has a true say in how their country is governed, and the GOP was making this a target for ridicule. The GOP believes that making this a government that is truly by the people and for the people makes a politician look weak and effeminate. They think that, if a politician changes his stance when you believe that he should, he is being indecisive or trying to manipulate you somehow. In the election of 2004, the GOP fooled millions of Americans into believing that they wanted a government that could exercise arbitrary power, with or without the consent of the governed, and they used ridicule and personal destruction in order to do it.

I am not lashing out at all people who consider themelves to be conservatives. In fact, it is these people that I am speaking to the most. Take a look at your party and what it is doing, you fools. You have a responsibility to your country to keep your party under control, and you have been failing in that calling. I can forgive this, but pay more attention during your damned primaries.

Stop voting for people, in your primaries, who sound like your favorite pastor. If a politician sounds like a preacher or something when he is talking about politics, that is the WORST person you can throw in your vote for. Why would you vote for a politician who talks about poitics in the same way that he talks about God? Don't you realize how evil this is? Have you forgotten that this is something your ancestors have been laying down their lives to fight against since the beginning of the Reformation?

We are on the same side. I acknowledge that most of you mean well. I just think you have been failing lately at doing your part. Your political representatives are turdmonkeys. I understand that this doesn't mean that you are necessarily turdmonkeys, but it does mean that you have been inattentive. We can't fix your party for you, but we can drum it out of politics for good if it continues to threaten the things that our ancestors...yours and mine alike...fought and died for.
