After finding out about the tadpole in my belly thoughts turned to a name almost straight away.
Unfortunately the love of my life has a very different idea of what a good name for a baby is - he reckons Lucifer or Zues for a boy or Angel for a girl
There's a tradition in his family for a boy's middle name to be Peter and I really can't think of any names that I like that go with Peter

What are some good names for a child that also sound okay for an adult?

Darwin. It could be a unisex name, and rymes with "darling". And it sounds ok to me for an adult too.
Online dictionary of etymology gives a piece of information about the origin of the word:

what about peter for a first name?

it wasnt hard for me to name my daughter. I LOVED the names Gabriella, Abbigail, and Chyanne.. and the only 2 that went together was Chyanne Abbigail, so name stuck, and I knew she was going to be a girl from even before i got preg. its family history ahaha

"Ruddiger" "Skylar" "Atticus" "Scatman" or maybe "Peubert"?
I once knew a guy called Ted Treasure, he called his son “Chester”.

    (Chester Treasure)

Peubert? Peubert Peter Pennell.. I don't think so
    lol gosh what a name
Are you suggesting these in the hope that my kid gets the shit kicked out of him daily?

    Thanks for all your help
I like the name Annaliese for a girl but my love doesn't really.. It's so hard trying to agree on a name
I also liked the idea of Johnny for a boy (Ramone) but it sounds a bit country hick after a while
    I'm gonna keep looking
    wish me luck

    Lavinia for a girl.

Orlando for a boy (may be a tad romantic for an adult male)

I've always liked the name James.

James Peter Pennell sounds okay to me.

Why don't you go with Peter as a first name? That way the full name will sound better, and you can just call the baby by his second name in practice.

For instance, you call him Peter Alexander Pennell and call him Alex in practice.

Ok I'll admit I'm just messing.

    What about Anya? Catherine? Morgan?
