I like Alexander but the dad's name is Alex. He thinks Alexander the Great would be best Can you even give your child a title? I've heard about those tips about not having a first name with the same amount of syllables as the last and shouting it out a few times which you're obviously going to be doing more than once. We just can't agree on any names, we both want something that is unique without being too outlandish like naming our child after a fruit. Or naming them something that screams cat lady, like Gertrude. I'd like something reasonably traditional if it's going to be a boy, like Jack or Edward. But Alex wants something god-like (Zeus, Hades.. he even suggested Jesus). I'm thinking we might just wait the ten weeks til we know what gender they are.
I love the name Jack. Simple, strong, unfanciful - but at the same time, not ordinary. My wife vetoed that too. If we have a boy, it will likely be Liam Andrew.
I very much like Jane. My wife doesn't like that one either. We have had so much trouble finding a girl's name we both like. Anastasia is one of the very few.
I hear the name Jane and I think of "me Tarzan, you Jane" Can you imagine the pick-up lines in a bar?
boys names that I like are xavier, cooper and ollie. I think theyd sound good with the rest of the name. girls names I like are bridie and sophie
Benjamin is a great name with Peter, or maybe Noah. Noah Peter Pennell has a nice roundness to it. I also like Emerson a lot. Emerson Peter is nice and unique. For a girl, I like Evelyn, Lauren and Olivia. All of which sound nice with your last name but will depend on what you choose for a middle name.
On a sidenote, men have zero clue as to how to name a child. It's a "genetic impairment". Come up with a list of 20 names you know are decent and then let your husband choose from the lot.
Come on a name like Jack Benimble lastname would be so cool. Jack Inthebox Jack Ofalltrades what is wrongs with aname like that. Or my all time Favourite Icky Icky Bing Bong That way the kid could play the race card as well as have a cool name...
What about Filbert? Dilbert? Cubert? Hughbert? Herbert? Sherbert? (just kidding) Eggbert? Engelbert? Cuthbert?
How about just plain Bert? Or Ernie for that matter. It would be a homage to Sesamestreet! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Pff, no way man it's a horrible name, imagine the bullying.... I used to have hamsters called Bert and Ernie, and Bubble and Squeak. But after a tragic road accident I was left with Bert and Squeak. It's always the way, so I wouldn't advise doing it with kids! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! How about Big Bird? That's gotta be a good name for him in the hood.....
