I would not do it. What good is knowledge if you're dead. You aren't even able to pass on your knowledge before you die.
Yea, but I'll be locked up inside a spacecraft. On the other hand, perhaps you could use all that knowledge to escape the spacecraft and get that toxin out of your system Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Although, I have to say that I would die a happy chap if I saw the demise of the human race in the near future Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
If you would believe in the One and Only God, you could have what you are so interested in and also live the life you chose to live. The problem is you have already made the choice to be who you are now, this second as you are reading this. This unables you to see what you are actually capable of, due to influences that are from this world and not belonging to lets say, "you." It means you are making the wrong choices, however you are still making the right choices because you only have one life. People confuse this and they will confuse what I just wrote. It is ok because you are simply not meant to understand, what you can not comprehend. Just like The Matrix, no one can make a choice they can't seem to understand.
You need to look around the world some, Fraggle, it's in dire trouble all over the world. Overpopulation, hunger, starvation, diseases, civil wars, wars, armed conflicts, women being stoned, women being oppressed, rich people living high while gazillions starve, people sneaking in other countries illegally, drugs running rampant, movies that gross million of dollars per weekend while millions of children die of hunger and disease, ....... Geez, Fraggle, the list is so long that it amazes me that anyone can actually make claims of enjoying life on this stinkin' planet! Stinkin', by the way, only because of humans who consistently shit in the their own nest. What the hell is good about humans ....other than how good they are at exploiting anything and everything around them? Baron Max
Okay...two things... One, would I be able to relay what I was seeing to someone back on Earth while I was seeing it...? And two, if not, could I leave something behind detailing what I saw for someone to find? If yes to either one, then hell yeah, I would do it. As long as I was able to share my wonder and knowledge with other humans to either help, change, benefit, or advance human kind for the better, then I would give my life. Great. Now that I've said that just watch, tomorrow some alien is going to abduct me Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!)
Ya' know ...I just read that and a thought occured to me. In biology (and ecology?), they're always talking about an animal's purpose and value in its ecosystem. I.e., the fly lays eggs on dead animals and those eggs hatch into maggots which help consume the dead meat. The wolf packs in the northern mountains and plains help control the population of deer and elk. And there are numerous such examples in the animal world. What's man's purpose in the ecosystem? I don't believe that I've ever read any biologist's (or ecologist's?) remarks about it. Is it man's purpose to exploit everything there is on the planet and pollute it so that nothing can ever live on it again? Baron Max
Since humans have largely removed themselves from nature they no longer fulfill any function within the ecosystem, except for sustaining the species that have adapted to exploit our presence (which are virtually without exception considered pests, by the way). Humans are useless from an ecological point of view. In fact, they are detrimental to every natural ecosystem in existence because they take a lot, hardly give anything back, and incessantly and relentlessly pollute ecosystems everywhere both directly and indirectly.
