    Whats your favorite, and why, tell me whats your favorite partiular processor from there line, either past present or future, and tell me what can they do to improve themselves.

    AMD gives you a bigger bang for the buck.

    Intel gives you a faster system if you get all the correct options: memory, graphics card, et cetera.

    I have both AMD and Intel. All and all they are both good but it seems Intel is more easily integrated with windows and may be a bit faster now.

    Consider the latest offerings today:

    AMD:
    Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition ($185 at NE)

    Intel:
    Intel Core i5-750 ($194 at NE)

    And AMD has nothing to compete against the socket 1366 processors, at least not right now. Is the i5 worth $9 more and a more-expensive 1156 board? Google some benchmarks. At the very least, look for the Anandtech processor comparison page. I'll vote Intel until AMD outdoes them at a similar price point.
