I think she's just not a very intelligent person. It took her like 5 and half years to graduate college with a BA in communications. And she transferred like four or five times in the midst of it.

She isn't intelligent. Neither was McCain. I am sick of the morons in the GOP.

Ron Paul is so much better than Palin, and yet nobody is really backing him.

I don't see this as an attack. I am just pointing out some hypocrisy that seems to be running rampant on the Republican side of the fence. It would be very nice if people stopped focusing on this nonsense and really focused on the issues at hand. But in the current political environment I don't know if that is possible.

People need to stop demonizing the other side. People need to get real and address the real issues with real facts.

I agree, and both sides are guilty of this; but, I do think that liberals demonize conservatives more than conservatives demonize liberals. How many liberals have you met that didn't have a snobby, elitist attitude?

I don't think so. Plenty of non-Texans support Ron Paul. And there are 30 million Texans.

Well I just don't see why you think GW ruined any Texan's chance of re-election. Most people don't care where the president is from. And there have been bad presidents from many states.

I never really look at where a politician is from, but rather where he wants to go.

Other than that, these left-right tit for tat threads that people like joepistole and buffaloroam keep making are pretty lame. The topics are always transient and inconsequential, and there is nothing meaningful to take away. It's always the same underlying theme (left is bad, right is bad) and always the same people, trying to force out the same caricatured postures. It's getting to be pathetic.

"Look, Palin uses speech notes... what a great moral victory for the Left..!!!"

"Another of Obama's campaign promises isn't fulfilled yet...the Right wins, this week..!!!"

    Fixed

the fact she writes notes on her hand is pretty fucking clear sign that she a dumb as a bag of hair! She can't us a note pad like many politicians do in open and which is reasonably respected, nope, she can't use teleprompters because god knows she cry fowl on that to many times, so what she do, she goes eight grade on us and rights notes on her hand! Only right wing nuts would believe she "smart" proof positive is that even our libertarian and conventional conservatives members admit she a dumb ass.

For me, it's not even the fact that she wrote on her hand, it's WHAT she wrote. If, after all these months of preaching this nonsense, she can't even remember her basic talking points what hope does she have really?

She didn't start out, on the national stage, marketing herself. She was marketed by others. And that is where the significance of these little observations - Palin's crib notes on the hand, McCain's continually confusing Iraq and Iran and calling his wife a cunt in front of reporters, W's Katrina visit jokes about drinking too much in New Orleans - comes into focus: they are little pointillist highlights on a picture of something horrible - the nature of the modern Republican Party in the US.

I think you have hit on something very critical. And why is it that Ron Paul, by all accounts a more knowledgable individual, a more credible individual, not supported by Republicans?

I think Ron Paul threatens those that lead the Republican Party...the lobbyist elite. Those people do not see Palin as a threat, rather they see her as a tool.

I think it is very unfortunate that the Tea Partiers want change but their leadership is about anything but change. They are being misled by the very people that doubled the national debt and led us to this crisis.

Actually to be fair and honest, he had a little help from his daddys friends on the Supreme Court. That is how george II attained the presidency.

She's not even a politician anymore and she makes the liberals hyperventilate. That is how much they fear her.

Damn her! A self-made, straight, hot, CCR who fixed AK, fired up the Republican base, and refused to kill her Down's baby! How DARE she?!

She was the main reason most voted for McCain. The Obama voters are a whole other story.

I doubt Palin will win 2012. Most Americans want someone like Romney. Someone who can fix our problems instead of make them worse.

Yes, that is absolutly correct, with out Gov. Palin on the ticket, McCain would have lost by double digits, She was the only spark of life in that Campaign.

Sandy, don't sell Palin short, She is a lot more than most people are willing to admit.
