pj, the Arabs of Palestine got their lands, the land is now the State of Jordan, and no one is trying to take those lands from anyone.

the OP wasn't trying to establish that was they have no rights, it established that people who cite "Palestinians" as having an autonomous history are lying or deluded.

Jordan is not palestinian. 20 years by arrogant colonialists doesn't trump thousands of years history. The palestinbians were denied their state. Only people who have cherry picked history think jordan is palestinian.

So if we recognize the palestinians as a people were lying or deluded. while never managing to gain self sovreignty they are distinct people.

The Arabs of Palestine were denied their state by their fellow Arabs, not the Jews, you keep denying the fact that under U.N. 181, there was to have been a separate State of Palestine, that was ended when the Arabs rejected U.N. Resolution 181, and in that rejection they also rejected the U.N. declared State of Palestine.

The funny thing about your fiction is, that the Arab League, which was who rejected U.N. 181, didn't have any intentions of creating a Palestinian State, they were going to divide the lands of your precious Palestine, between Jordan, Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon,

Actually, the crime they committed was being on the losing side of World War I, which is how the British came to have control over their territory. Since the British owned the territory outright, they were entitled to permit as many Jews to immigrate there as they saw fit, or even grant a Jewish state if they wanted.

What is wrong with the situation is that Jewish immigrants consistently marginalized the incumbent population, who were equally entitled to live there, because they had been living there at the time the British came into possession of the region, and had not been asked to leave as a condition of the treaty wherein the British gained control. It would have been within Britain's rights to demand such a thing at that time if they wanted to. I'm talking about rights of conquest here, since the exchange of land was the result of a war.

I'm curious what the nationality was of the land Israel annexed during that war. They would have had the right to consider the inhabitants to be citizens of whatever country the land had previously belonged to, and to have deported them, unless the region had been autonomous. (If it was autonomous, then they would have to keep them.)

At this point it doesn't matter, however, because most Palestinians alive today were born after that war, which makes them natives of Israel, regardless of ethnicity.

they didn't own it they ran it. IT was a trustee ship

Britain had no right to alter the population. they held the land in trust for the population.

Um no they had zero right to deport anyone. That a violation of the geneva conventions

They have a slightly differing opinion. while they view themselves as Israeli they still do not believe Israel is right

They rejected it because it stripped them of their right to self determination. A right the UN charter garentees them

Which is why I hold them accoutable for their crimes. Unlike you I recognize all those who worked to deny the palestinians their rights not jsut the ones I dislike(or in your case are bigoted against)

I like this idea. Just remember that the Arab nations stole land around four times the size of Israel, so if Israel pays e.g. $1 billion every year to the Palestinians, that means the Arabs have to pay $4 billion every year to the Israelis.

Not to mention that Germans and Poles living in homes stolen from Jewish Holocaust victims, they should probably pay rent too.

Since the Arabs and Germans have stolen from the Jews much more than the Jews could possibly have stolen from the Palestinians, any unbiased application of the law can only benefit the Jews.

Actually no, for someone who claims to be so legalist you are making a very stupid mistake about the law here. Citizens of non-signatory states are not protected by the Geneva Conventions.

Palestine never signed the Geneva Conventions and even if you consider the Palestinians citizens of Syria, Syria only signed them after the 1948 war with Israel.

Like you said when excusing your theft of native American land: "different eras different rules."

you were missing the full thrust of it. The point is they would be paying rent because owner ship was tranfered your not propossing that. also in the germany and poland issues the people would move so no rent. in Israel you couldn't so that because almost all of it was taken from the pals. so it would hurt them.

there other parts of international law that prohibits annexation of teritories and harming citizens.

Palestine isn't allowed to. and I don't consider them syrian citizens.

But you have to get them right your not.

Don't be stupid, the Palestinians living in the West Bank and Gaza aren't going anywhere, and are entitled to a peaceful state there.

Lol, you think millions of Poles and Germans will leave their homes just to satisfy the whims of pjdude? Ignore reality for a second and assume they do - then the Jews just move back to the freshly vacated homes in Poland and Germany. Problem solved

    Which you've failed to name.

You think you're a hotshot international lawyer? How come none of the real international lawyers agree with you?

not going to work with him

I was thinking more in lines of economics. they will find a way not to have to pay the rent buy moving.

Un charter and the montevideo convention

The non supporting of Israeli ones do for the most part in gist. the main difference between me and most is I go to the full logical conclusion rather than stop and work on something paltible to Israel.

Would you please provide citation and links to the pertinent references to said U.N. Charter and Montevideo Convention.

And since as usual you won't, I have the feeling that you are basing you opine on cherry picked passages that really don't support your supposition.
