But environment can greatly affect how you express those personality traits, which ones you choose to suppress or modify, etc.

You can't choose to change your preferences at will, but that doesn't mean your environment played no role in what you find pleasing. Like the old violent videogames make children violent debate. A naturally shy, quiet and passive child raised by a forever loud, in your face, obnoxious family is bound to pick up certain traits even though it goes against their in-born temperment. Animals, especially young ones are imitators. Preferences can and usually are primed and then imitated. Many kids raised eating spicy food tend to prefer spicy foods.

hence all parenting is preferential bias.
thus equality for the child is impossible.
thus all parents are accountable 100% because of the personal bias they choose.

By your own argument parents cannot be 100% accountable, since they were all (surprisingly) once children and raised under a pre-existing bias, which helped form their personal biases.
And the same for their parents, etc.

Indeed, as a non-father and avid observer of parenting trends, I've noticed that the more effort parents put into preventing certain activities, only stimulates the desire to do them. I prefer the parenting I received and (at best) the amazing parenting my best friend received, growing up. His parents wouldn't "prohibit" anything. They simply sat and listened to and/or watched said music or movie and provide detailed explanations of what they were watching or hearing. After Kyle's dad listened to our tape of "Luke Skywalker and the Two Live Crew" (god. . . I just dated myself), he took us to a rape crisis center so that we could see the effects of treating women as pieces of meat. The result: we both rejected the music on our own because we understood how gross it was.

But most parents take the lazy route and just try to build walls. The problem is, kids are far more creative. So parents get angry and try to build more walls. I find it odd that the people who claim to love and care for their kids the most, can't be bothered to spend time with their kids to teach them how to be good people and prefer rash, unenforceable mandates that are ultimately self defeating (i.e. a generation gap and tuned-out children).

When Dr. "Kyle's Dad" talked, we all listened. When other parents talked, we tuned them out. He called every single one of us "sir", and talked to us like we mattered. Every kid in my school spent time at his house out of envy.

The guy raised five kids who all turned out amazingly well. Something had to have been done right.

that looks a lot more gay in pink.
    where were we ?

ok... yeah ... GREAT POINT !

what no one has mentioned yet which i find somewhat typical is the presents other family get for the baby.

they ask what gender it is before they buy the present.
then they go out and shop for a gender specific present.

i think you will find the most common question prior to asking if the baby is healthy and happy and if mum and dad are ok is "is it a boy or girl"
and all the issues that goes into that.
i think we probably need to look at moving to making laws where it is illegal to identify the gender of a baby prior to birth.
not for reasons like in china or india where infanticide is one of their biggest national pass times but because of those who seek to keep climbing the ladder of intellectual advancement of the species.

There's the sad story of David Reimer. Back when many thought all male/female behavior was based purely on social determinism, a rather unethical doctor convinced the parents of a boy, who lost his penis to a tragic circumcision accident, that he could be raised as a girl, and would never suspect that he was anything but. It did not work.

    Why?

I think a lot more people should take action like that. Misogyny is everyfuckingwhere.

your theory is only possible if you think people are incapable of change.

    LOL
women foster misogyny because it suites them, it makes them feel validated when they insist on revenge just because a guy has dumped them.

    Nice error on your part.
Try thinking before you reply next time.

    Women foster misogyny?
As a whole? Or just some of them?
    Data?
    Links?

No, SOME women do. Not all women foster misogyny.

Some human beings will always be assholes, male or female.
