Please note that even though there have been countless threads about legalizing pot, I've never participated in them and not in the future either.

I offer this only as material for thought. And even though the results of this study appear to be conclusive, additional studies need to be done to either confirm or reject the findings. That's the proper approach following any initial study.

Hallucinations, delusions? Well, that's exactly why I smoked the stuff...Coming from some tough personal circumstances and home life, specifically I liked the dellusion that the world seemed less screwed up after I somked as it did before I smoked. Pot really helped me look at things from different perspectives and cope with depression and rage issues that I carried through my youth.
I was never the "lazy Stoner". I'm a business owner, have a great marriage, big family and own the largest house on my street. Plus I work in all different kinds of entertainment venues.

That said, it's ran it's positive course and I'm trying to quit...after smoking everyday for 15 years.
It's not as hard yet as I feared but I'd prayed on it for some time.

I've quit harder things like tobacco and fatty foods, but it's a biggie for sure. Especially when it's something that tastes, smells and looks so damn good to you.

Most off the negetive aspects for me relate to it being illegal, expensive and potentially damaging to the upper Resp. When I'm smoking now, I can't shake those things from my head...So I have to say goodbye, for now.

How does this report define "use". Is this daily? Couple of times a week? One a month? Sustained consumption? Occasional or infrequent use?

I'm pretty sure I could polish off a liter of whiskey daily and develop psychological problems.

So a little selective breeding could fix the problem. What if they could breed a variety to emphasize the CBD? It could be a new medication for psychosis.

There are plenty of good reasons for not smoking pot, so don't smoke it.

    But why make it illegal?

Just because it is bad for you isn't a good enough reason to make it illegal.
It's not illegal to drink methylated spirits, is it?

Since the study also found that people who are mentally ill were more likely to start smoking pot in the first place, I don't know why you would call it "conclusive." According to the study's own authors, it's not clear whether it's causation or simply correlation.

Ok, never mind. I was wrong. I had Absinthe in mind, but as it turns out it wasn't banned for containing methanol but because it contained Thujone (which can cause similar effects).

Driving a lot is much more dangerous for your health than pot or mehylated spirits.

Though driving a lot may not lead to thinking you are more profound than you really are, which is embarrassing.

Let us make all things that potentially lead to embarrassing us illegal.

Oh, please!!!! You should note that I said APPEARED to be conclusive AND then quickly said - in the same sentence, by the way!! - that more studies have to be done.

Your dishonest attempt to distort what I said is duly noted!!:bugeye:

Also, I made NO claims regarding the issue NOR the study itself and clearly said that I posted the link simply as "material for thought."

Pot seems no more or less harmful than alcohol.

The key ingestion years are 50-55.
Usually consumed next to a fire made from old floorboards in an abandoned warehouse, shared with some comrades.
