Impeachment Resolution Against President George W. Bush

    by FRANCIS A. BOYLE
professor of law, University of Illinois School of Law

Impeaching George Walker Bush, President of the United States, of high crimes and misdemeanors.

    ARTICLE I
    1. has attempted to impose a police state and a military dictatorship upon the people and Republic of the United States of
America by means of "a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations" against the Constitution since September 11, 2001. This subversive conduct includes but is not limited to trying to suspend the constitutional Writ of Habeas Corpus; ramming the totalitarian U.S.A. Patriot Act through Congress; the mass-round-up and incarceration of foreigners; kangaroo courts; depriving at least two United States citizens of their constitutional rights by means of military incarceration..

    ARTICLE II
..has violated the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution. U.S. soldiers in the Middle East are overwhelmingly poor White, Black, and Latino and their military service is based on the coercion of a system that has denied viable economic opportunities to these classes of citizens....

    ARTICLE III
...has violated the U.S. Constitution, federal law, and the United Nations Charter by bribing, intimidating and threatening others, including the members of the United Nations Security Council, to support belligerent acts against Iraq. In all of this George Walker Bush has acted in a manner contrary to his trust as President and subversive of constitutional government...

    ARTICLE IV
...has prepared, planned, and conspired to engage in a massive war and catastrophic aggression against Iraq by employing methods of mass destruction that will result in the killing of hundreds of thousands of civilians, many of whom will be children. This planning includes the threatened use of nuclear weapons, and the use of such indiscriminate weapons and massive killings by aerial bombardment, or otherwise, of civilians, violates the Hague Regulations on land warfare, the rules of customary international law set forth in the Hague Rules of Air Warfare, the Four Geneva Conventions of 1949 and...

How many people could any impeachment actions be directed at? Can anyone in the chain of command be held as accountable, or is it only effective towards the one in charge? Is Cheney et al immune to this same charge?

The whole plan of massive cruise missiles into Bhagdad really disturbs me. What happened to the reasoning behind not invading there in the Gulf War, that no guarantees that innocents wouldn't be hurt?

The Secret Life of George W. Bush !

    US Energy Policy:
A secret, only revealed to Dick Cheney and his billionaire oil friends.

FBI records of any investigations: A secret not only to you the average voter, but also a secret from any official you elect (I guess Bush gets to see them because he wasn't elected by you, he came in second).

Bush's Texas driver records: Secret, scrubbed his record and gave him Texas DL number 00000005.

All records from the 12 years of Reagan and Bush presidencies: This is a BIG secret says Junior, orders all records sealed, anything to be released only at his sole personal discretion.

Activities of Homeland Security director Tom Ridge A secret: Bush refuses to let him testify before Congress (heck, how could they charge a thousand dollars a pop if he gave it away for free in a televised hearing?)

What did Bush do for 6 years as Governor of TX?: A secret, Bush carted off all public records and sealed them in his daddy's Presidential library.

Does the Bush regime torture their prisoners of war?: A secret, Bush says 'up yours' to Geneva Convention and refuses their inspectors.

Does the US still only produce defensive nuclear weapons: Or are we trying to become a 'first strike' nuclear threat to Russia and the world? A secret, Bush cancels 30 year nuclear treaty with Russia, refuses any inspectors.

What went on in the airplanes Sept 11?: A secret, Bush refuses to release any cockpit tapes, even to the families of the crew and
    passengers who died.

I guess the answer is in the Bush secret government in that cave in some mountain in Virginia. Besides the Bush administration of the United States, what kind of government would hide in caves in a mo.

AND to the sudanese who have suffered HUNDREDS of THOUSANDS of deaths due to the bombing of the so called chemical weapons of mass destruction plant, that was actually just a factory for the production of generic medicine against plagues such as: Malaria, cholera ect,...after it got bombed no financial refund or help to rebuild it was offered, Hell!: NOT EVEN an appology was offered,...

By the way: that was Clinton who bombed that plant,...and he was a 'democrat' so who's in power doesn't matter: they treat the world as if they (Americans) own it.

Just for your information: Impeachment is indeed not an option for someone in the white house:
take for instance Bush his contribution in the Enron scandal,....
He knew in advance the position of the financial state, he withdrew his intrests, sold ALL of his stock shares that he held.

He knew the director personally, the proof is there,...he didn't want to acknowlegde anything, nor did he deny it. If he would, he'd be lying!

There's no investigation is allowed into the events of the 9/11 attacks,...not even an independant commission,...
The jets that normally scramble and take down civilian aircraft, in ful flight, didn't fly that day,...
The Radar stations didn't respond to these situations,
No whatsoever alarm was issued, not even when they knew that there where more aircraft being hijacked,....the jet's stayed on the ground: read the full story people, please,...

    how blind can you be,....

even the Jews wich normally number 5000 in the former WTC had a preempitive warning trough a messenger system,...it was traced and declared truthfull. But that's that,....non whatsoever questions about it,...so they knew,...so what,....

So bush knew about the attack,...so what?

So bush knew that he had to pull a string in the economic reign of America's downfall,....so offcourse they have a plan,...you (+¨P*-*àç!"'(àç!()

He listens carefully to his advisor.... and don't even start arguing.

did you know that thank's to 'his' contribution afgan people now face another dictator: the judge just decided that foreign tv is bad for islam,...my my,.....Look at what islam has givven them: war, war and more war,...

    >America's troops where already in place to attact afganistan: the needed to have the pipe-line in the east.

    >the plan is to gain a foothold in the middle east region, 'cause Saudi Arabia is withdrawing it's support and they don't have the Oil supply's that the Iraqi have.

    >then 'free' Iran from it's idiological 'religious oppressors' like they did with afganistan,...(wich as I state, hasn't helped anything to free the people's mind).

I don't understand that you people are so blind to see.
Maby even afraid to talk about it.
or maby you're just a bunch of imperialists too,...

you don't have to prove me wrong,...you know it's right.

Your goverment is lying to you!

    Go protest! Organise public meetings!

    but no,....nothing happens,...

I don't think that Bush II was personally responsible for 9/11.
I think that responsibility lies with all those who shaped US foreign policy for the last 50 years or so.
Its not just Bush, the whole system is rotten.
That said I think there are plenty of grounds for impeachment, but its a hopeless cause. The democrats are far too spineless. Look at Reagan, he sold weapons to one group of terorrists in order to finance another group all while telling the american people that he wouldn't even negotiate with terrorists. Was he impeached? nope, in fact, hes amazingly still held up as a hero of the reactionary right.

Certainly the entire Bush administration should be removed, and Bush and most of his cronies should be imprisoned for crimes against humanity, but my guess is whoever replaced them would be just as bad. Clinton was a war criminal too.

George W. Bush: "The ultimate loser!"

Better one Willie Clinton with his britches down to his knees with some big titted Jew giving him oral relief from all the world's problems while the US is booming in every aspect of economic success, than one smirking cocaine head and rehab'ed alcoholic frat rat holding hands with a Jewish mass murderer ( Ariel Sharon ) and giving him his condolences for all the Settler trespassers that have been murdered and maimed "while stealing land, water and even hope from the Palestinian people."

No. My reasons have been stated in previous threads and I am too tired to repeat.

There are articles of impeachment drawn up by a Law Prof.

    Here is the site: http://www.democrats.com/view.cfm?id=11583

Also about 9/11, Bush dismissed(disbanded) a group of men who were warning him about an imminent attack on the US, he ignored all the intelligence funnelled to him about the terrorist threat, and conspiracy theorist believe he or some in his admin may have had some sort of involvement in 9/11. At the least they believe he knew about it and allowed it to happen to distract public opinion from what he was up to at the time and/or to bolster his falling approval ratings.
