    Yes, the less work one needs to do in order to maintain their position of privilege, the better.

    Isn't it clear? It's trolling. Pointing out hypocrisy, errors in reasoning, and illogical argumentation is trolling. Hence pretty much everyone who engages in debate on this forum is a troll, since they usually point out perceived flaws in their opponent's reasoning.

    Yes, I only have my own interests at heart these days. Of course, that doesn't mean that my behaviour couldn't be of benefit to the community. See if you can wrap your mind around that one.

    Nahh. If I were egotistical, I'd be rabidly defending my imagined position of privilege as a moderator on an internet forum.

    roughly 3/4 of his posts have been outside sfog and sf and and a brief skim thru those shows a fairly opinionated fellow and not much else

    That went on about 2 years ago... an after about a year... my "stalker" who posted in the groop i owned sudenly stoped stalkin me after he was TOSed from postin in the fire-walled webtv groops... he had becom obcessed wit doin me harm cause i woudnt agree wit him that the moon didnt rotate on an internal axis... lol... an then he becam even mor obcessed wit huntin for... an aparently findin kiddy porn (so he said) an reportin it to the webtv abuse department... after he was TOSed... his bes frind posted that he said he was TOSed rite after he had reported som mor kiddy porn... but soom after that nobody that i know of herd from him agan... mayb dyed or went to jale... anyhow... no mor stalker.!!!

    O... an about 5 years ago... the firs post this guy made to me was filled wit "sic" after each word i mispelled... lol.!!!

    Spoken up? No. I think it's common sense and can and does happen in anything and everything you do in life.

    The person being banned won't be feeling diffused, but sometimes it can and does pull the others out of the downward spiral of insults..

    Let me ask you a question. Do you think a member who threatens another member or their family, for example, deserves politeness when banned? In real life, if you act like an arsehole, you'll be treated like an arsehole. I will respect people who respect me and others as human beings, whether I am a mod or not. If I warn someone for something and they respond by sending me or another member a PM that is not only insulting but also sometimes threatening? I'm sorry, but I won't apologise for saying 'enjoy your holiday' when I ban them. I don't do that kind of nice.

    You do realise that mods won't act unless something has gone wrong first, right?

    So, this thread is for what purpose exactly?

    Can I give you some advice? Look at your approach. Re-think it. And I mean that. You seem to spend a large amount of time sifting through this forum looking at all of the posts of moderators and nitpicking for everything... demanding action.. without knowing what is going on in the background and without knowing what is being said.

    I beg you.. rethink your approach on subjects like this. For example.. You seem to be quite biased in that you will only pick on certain moderators and not others. You come off sounding petty and vindictive.

    I don't know why you got 2 weeks.. Ban cycles and what not?:shrug: I really don't know. Have you tried asking? And I mean ask in the sense that you PM and ask? Not start threads or post comments about a moderator's bowel habits as the question?

    I have a 3 year old son. He's a strange little psycho. Funny as hell. This week I watched him as he kept trying to lift the bottom of his t-shirt over his head. And he tried all week.. even after being told off to not do it because he was stretching his clothes. He'd keep bending his head down and he never managed.. no matter how hard he tried. Finally last night he managed to do it. He figured out how to get it so that it covered just his head.. And you know what he did? As soon as the bottom of his tshirt was flipped over his head and his face was covered, he lifted his arms on either side of his head, wiggled his fingers in the air and did ghost noises... No one had ever done it to him before or in front of him. We're still trying to figure out where he got that from. Something to be proud of I guess.. /Sigh...

    Now, what does my strange little psycho spawn have to do with all this? Different approach can yield more successful results. You should try it sometime.

    We obvously disagree on whether insultin the person bein baned is benificial to the beterment of Scifourms.!!!
