Dave saw the last of the bridge crew destined for shore leave depart the bridge level and went into his quarters. He locked the door and opened his security storage room.
He scanned the readout on the single container within and, satisfied, left the room, sealing it behind him.

"Well then. Looks like the Viper will have to wait. Dark Tigers. Never heard of those before. Oh well."

Tiberius went to his quarters and grabbed his Wester 35 and the holster. He rolled up his pant sleeve and checked his tactical knife. Then he made his way to Pluto Station.

Tiberius was walking through the corridor to Pluto Station when he saw Aki. "Why is it that I can talk to any girl, except her?" He kept walking and eventually got inside. Looking around he could see advertisements of companies that had gone bankrupt years ago. Things like Minute Maid, Nyquil, and Viagra. While it was a semi-busy port, there were quite a bit of shady characters.

He decided to message Shin. "Hey Shin. According to our intel one of the Dark Tigers is in Hangar Bay 5. The other in Hangar Bay 8. I'll take the one in 5."

He started walking but stopped abruptly. Nearby he heard music. An old Jazz classic from old Earth, "Ain't Misbehaving". Flashbacks came to him.

    He ordered his squad,

"Prep for mission, the mission is acquiring a Dark Tiger, go to comms room, we will get our new IDs there,"

He ran to the comms room, his squad arrived soon after. They commenced hacking the UEA database.

He shook his head and continued walking. He looked across the Main Plaza and saw Aki walking into a club. He payed no mind as he looked around for Hangar 5. Spotting a directional sign he checked it. It's dead ahead and three stories up. He'd have to take the turbolift.

They acquired their new fake IDs, Shin is now Commander Gottfried Leibniz of United Earth Alliance Materials Command. Shin also acquired new uniforms for the mission. He then said,

"Meet at the shuttle in 15 minutes,"

    "Sir!"

They walked back to his quarters and changed. Shin brought his high kinetic rifle and beam katana with him. They will take it by force if necessary, but he hope he didn't have to. He then dyed his hair black and put on a syntheskin disguise. His beam kanata is hidden. They arrived at the shuttle hanger, all of them are in disguise. They also disguised the shuttle like a shuttle from the UEA Materials Command. From now on till the end of their mission, they are officers from the UEA Materials Command.

"Dock the shuttle in the spacedock, don't use lethal force unless I order it,"

    "Aye sir,"

Tiberius got into the turbolift and waited. Nine more people climbed into the lift with him. Not only was it crowded, but someone had bad B.O. The crappy elevator music of the old Earth days had been replaced with the crappy elevator music of the future. It was an uncomfortable and annoying ride. But ti didn't end there. The turbolift lost power and stopped right where it was. "Frak."

"Please present identification codes," the flight controller said,

Shin then gave them a false one,

"I am Commander Gottfried Leibniz of UEA Materials Command, requesting to dock,"

Everyone was freaking out except for Tiberius. He raised his hands up and pushed the roof open. He then climbed out onto the top of the turbolift. He saw a ladder built into the wall. Possibly for easy maintenance access. He grabbed onto a rung and started climbing.

"Identification authenticated, you may proceed to docking bay 12,"

    "Roger," Shin said,

Lieutenant Moskva docked the shuttle, Shin then said to his men,

"Lets show them why we, ESSCPA Super Soldiers are here and what we can do,"

    "Aye sir,"

    They then exited the shuttle.

"Man, you know. I'm really starting to hate space", Tiberius grumbled as he was climbing. As he reached the level he was supposed to be on, he looked around. The only entrance was a small air duct. "Frak me." He climbed in and began the slow crawl towards the Hangar.

They went to the turbolifts, one of them is closed, so they went to the next one. They were the only ones on. They then proceeded to hanger bay 8, in complete silence, for all they know, there are cameras and microphones everywhere.

Once he got to a vent he kicked it open and jumped down. He looked around. The only fighter in the hangar was the Dark Tiger.

    "This is too easy."

Suddenly a door opened and an armed guard stepped in. Tiberius dove behind a stack of metal crates. He drew his Wester and looked through a crack to see. The guard took a quick look around and left. Tiberius holstered his gun and sprinted to the Dark Tiger.

He pulled up a step ladder and opened the cockpit.

They arrived and exited the turbolift. There is still a blast door that separated them from the hanger bay. Shin put his new ID into good use, he scanned it and entered. The guards there saluted, Shin returned the salute, he then said

"Lieutenant Gottfried Leibniz, from the UEA Materials Command, with transport orders for the Dark Tiger,"

He noted that there are brand new Vichi Mobile Suits in the hanger along with the Dark Tiger.

    One of the guards said,

"I wasn't notified, let me see them sir,"

Shint then pulled out some fake documents. The guard walked closer. When Shin pulled out the documents, he also quickly and quietly put his beam katana up his sleeve. He didn't want to resort to violence, but it is guarded, so he had to. The guard took the documents to examine them. Shin dropped the beam katana to his hand and activated it point blank to the guard, killing him. His squad simultaneously and very quickly pulled out their rifles are started firing, making sure they purposely miss a few shots and made sure the precision of their shots doesn't revel their status as ESSCPA Super Soldiers. They fired like maniacs, very much unlike ESSCPA Super Soldiers, Shin also made sure he did a lot of collateral damage with his katana. They tried to make it look the handiwork of pirates. They eliminated all guards quickly. Shin and his squad then searched for survivors, they found one and shot him dead instantly. They have no hesitations or problems about shooting UEA Personnel if it had to be done, although they preferred not to. He walked over to the dead body poking it with his gun, he thought to himself,

"Sorry mate, it had to be done,"

He took off his uniform purposely as with two others in his squad, they were wearing his civilian clothes underneath. He then said,

"Take the mechs, I will take the fighter thingy, then return to skull-1 and show the Captain his booty, he owes us our pay en' drink, hurry lads before anymore bastards arrives,"

He was taught to disguise himself and his allegiance during a mission like this.

"All right boss," Moskva said, he and the rest of the squad jumped into Mobile Suits, while Shin jumped into a Dark Tiger. All weapons are loaded on the MS and the Dark Tiger. One of the MS blasted open the hanger door, they then flew out. The hanger became depressurized and debris flew out. They jumped to hyperspace and out of sight.

Tiberius taxied the DT-521 to the launch tunnel. He had to do it all manually as there was no one in the control. He checked the systems and took off.

Once he cleared the tunnel he turned the fighter towards the Endeavour.

They arrived at a remote cloaked asteroid, a fair distance away. It was a small, abandoned ESSCPA outpost. They presented their identification codes. They turned on the life support systems, uncloaked it and then docked in the outpost's hangers.

Dave followed the progress of the missions he'd sent the Chief and Shin on. Both men had managed to steal the Dark Tigers, albeit with varying degrees of subtlety. He opened a closed comms link to Tiberius.
"BEEP. Chief, this is Flemster. Good work. Take the Tiger and proceed to the coordinates I'm sending you. There, you will find a long-abandonned science platform. It's presurised and servicable and has a docking bay. We'll pick you up on the way past. Maintain comms silence. Also, activate the Tiger's stealth as soon as you clear Pluto Station. Shin has caused quite a shitstorm and security are going mental. Flemster out."
He sent the message and reset the comms to another closed channel, this time with Shin.
"BEEP. Shin, this is Flemster. Not quite the way I wanted it done but good work nonetheless. Take the Tiger and whatever else you've thieved and head for the coordinates Im sending you. You will rendezvouz with the Chief at an old science station in deep space orbit. It is abandonned but servicable. You are to hold there until the Endeavour picks you up in about twelve hours. Remember to activate the Tiger's stealth capabilities. Maintain comms silence. Flemster out."
He flicked the comms set off and turned to his personal log computer. He entered a series of codes and a mission checklist appeared. He checked off the first two boxes and closed it down.

Dave Flemster strode on to the bridge, the officer of the watch supprised to see him.
    "Uh, captain's on the bridge!"
Flemster waved him silent. He settled into his command chair.
    "BEEP. Comms, 2MC."
    "2MC, sir."
"BEEP. Engineering, this is the captain. Begin engine startup. I want to be ready for emergency departure in less than ten minutes."
There was a pause before one of Tiberius' men answered.
"Um, sir? There's only two of us down here, sir. Chief Tiberius is off ship."
"BEEP. Let me worry about the Chief. Get my ship up and running. Do you understand?"
"Ah, yeah. I mean, aye sir."
    "BEEP. Good. Bridge out."
Flemster began flicking switches on his armrest.
"BEEP. Officer of the Watch, today's recall codes, if you please."
The young officer looked flustered, knowing something was going on.
    "BEEP. Now, Mr. Biro."
"Uh, yes, sir." the man replied, hurrying over with a small plastic card that contained the codes for all the crew's comms units.
Flemster entered the code and hit the comms switch again.
"BEEP. Endeavour crew. Emergency recall to ship. I repeat, emergency recall to ship. Make haste and man your stations. Endeavour leaving in one-zero minutes. This is the captain."
The skeleton bridge crew looked startled.
    "Sir, what's--" the helmsman began.
"BEEP. Helm, begin departure prep. Sever all umbellicals and gantries. Leave main docking tunnel attached for exactly ten minutes then sever. Make preparatons for emergency break-dock."
    "Uh, aye sir."
Flemster turned to face the comms woman, who was looking at him with nervous eyes.
    "Comms, on the 1MC."
A tone sounded throughout the ship.
    "1MC, sir." she announced.
"BEEP. General Quarters, General Quarters! All hands man your battle stations. Go up and forward on your starboard side, down and aft on your port side. General Quarters, General Quarters! Hostile vessles approaching. General Quarters, General Quarters!"
    He clicked the comms off.
"BEEP. Rig the ship for combat, Mr. Biro." he added calmly.
The young officer quickly overcame his fear as his training kicked in. He hit a large red button and immediately, the bridge was bathed in a low, red light. Flemster could already feel the mechanical clunking of shielding sliding into place, as well as weapons pods rolling out along the hull.
    "BEEP. Comms, 5MC."
"5MC, sir." the girl replied, opening the channel to the flight deck.
"BEEP. Flight Ops, this is the captain. We are about to engage hostile ships. Launch the alert Vipers."
Dave pressed another button on his comms unit. "BEEP. Master At Arms, how goes the recall?"
A pause. Then, "Captain, we just hit the halfway mark. Sir, most of these guys are in bars getting wasted. It's doubtfull they heard the recall, sir."
"BEEP. Understood. Are the senior officers back on board yet?"
"Aye, sir. all accounted for with the exception of Chief Tiberius and Commander Shin and some of his men. I've been trying to raise them myself but--"
"BEEP. Chief Tiberius and Commander Shin are accounted for, Sargeant. Close the ship and prepare for departure."
"But sir, we still have over 300 hundred men on station!"
"BEEP. You have you orders, sargeant."
There was a long pause before the man answered. "Aye, sir. Closing the hatch."
The helmsman, who really needs a name, turned in his seat to face Dave.
"Captain, radar shows no vessles approaching us, sir. What's going--"
"Captain! Two Forlian battlecruisers decloaking on our starboard bow! Range, three thousand kilometers and closing, sir!" the radar operator called out.
"BEEP. Helm, emergency breakdock. Take her out of the station and bring us about, heading three-six-three. Maximum thrusters."
The helmsman repeated the order and immediately attended to his console.
"BEEP. Weapons, transfer everything to the aft plating. Make ready aft torpedoes and autoguns. Ready the MetalStorm systems."
    "Aye, sir."

The Endeavour lurched away from the docking tunnel in a shower of metal dust. The men arriving late could only watch in horror as their ship reversed out of the docking hanger at speed. They knew they were now stranded on this remote outpost.

The Endeavour cleared the outer hanger walls and started to swing around, her engines glowing brighter and brighter as she powered up.

On the bridge, Flemster opened the comms 1MC.
"BEEP. Crew of the Endeavour, this is the captain. We have completed a classified part of out mission that, until now, I have been unable to tell you about. Our journey through the anomally will most likely require us to have a heavy carbon sheilding capability, something this ship lacks. Therefore, I have aquired the carbon plating by stealing two Dark Tiger stealth fighters I knew to be stationed on Pluto Station. These fighters belonged to the Forlian Empire and are very expensive. This fact is being played out now by the arrival of two Forlian battlecruisers. Now, whilst we have the edge over them in speed, they have the advantage in firepower and, as anyone of you who has ever met a Forlian will testify, they aren't shy about using it. I intend to leave the area at full speed and head for Nightingale Station in the Interim Sector, where we will retrieve the fighters and the men who aquirred them. I expect the Forlians to pursue as best they can and most likely engage, so be prepared for some chop. Remember your training and do your jobs and you will ALL live through this. That is all."
Dave turned to face the front.
"BEEP. Helm, best speed for Nightingale Station."
"Nightingale Station, best speed, aye, sir."
"BEEP. Comms, get me the CAG on a closed comms."

(OOG: Razor, you're CAG aren't you? A bit of action for you and whoever else wants to play as a figher jock for a bit!)

Shin exited the fighter Dark Tiger. His squad exited the Mobile Suits as well, they then keeled and bowed. This outpost was no ordinary outpost, it wasn't abandoned during the self-imposed exile, it was abandoned long before, at the beginning of the Black Hole War. It was the location of the greatest defeat ever suffered by ESSCPA Special Operations. It holds dark memories of comrades dead and battles lost. There are corpses and battle scars in the outpost, the 42 Super Soldiers stationed here resisted valiantly, but perished in battle. The defeat of the outpost, Kopulu 7 shocked them, and it became a battle cry for the ESSCPA Special Operations during the war. They then touched the floor with their foreheads 3 times to show their respect. They then stood up solemnly, Shin then recieved a transmission from Captain Flemster he then replied,

"Target was too heavily guarded, there were 13 guards, and the shift time is different, so that there will be at least 12 guards on duty at any time, I believe it is due to the Vichi Mobile Suits in the same hanger, possibly a gift of good will from the Vichi Empire to the Forlians, we also acquired 5 Vichi MS, we left no traces of our allegiance, they think it is pirates, we could only pretended to be like maniacs, we can't betray our allegiance to ESSCPA as well, the job is done and we can't seem professional in situations like this, the mission is executed as you ordered, not to be offensive, but the method is up to us, we get the job done, leave no traces and think of the bigger picture. It should not leave any traces to us, unless Tiberius was heading for the Endeavor in his Dark Tiger,"

Shin then took the rifle off one of the dead ESSCPA Super Soldiers stationed there. He then ordered,

"Look for MS parts in here and in space, replace as much from the Vichi Mobile Suits as you can,"

There are multiple reasons for those actions, the main reason is an ESSPCA ritual. To use the weapons from dead comrades to eliminate the enemy, it is how they pay their respects, all ESSCPA weapons are customized, to different extents, might be just settings in case of a pistol or the entire thing, in the case of a Mobile Suit and ship, using the weapon of a dead comrade to kill an enemy means that their sacrifices are not in vain.

While his squad scavenged for parts, he removed the IFF transponders from the Dark Tiger and the Mobile Suits.

It took a while, but they had the tools they needed and activated two droids to assist. They finished, and Shin ordered,

"New mission, we will head for the rendezvous point MS and the Dark Tiger to be on cloak,"

Before jumping into the Dark Tiger, he pulled out his beam katana and preformed a full sword salute. He then jumped in. They exited the outpost, the life support and other systems shut off, it will be there for any Super Soldiers in need of it.

He then quickly did his calculations then sent a transmission to Captain Flemster, unaware of the situation at the Endeavor,

"Assuming Tiberus did head towards the Endeavor and the Dark Tiger is as good and important as you say they are, there is about 82% chance of hostile action, and about 54% chance we will be faced with a superior show of force and the odds of Forlian hostile action is 73%, I recommend General Quarters and a full-scale retreat sir, if they are Forlian ships and it is absolutely necessary, I recommend sending distress calls, we are after all a ship of the UEA Armed Forces, they are after all in our territory, there should be no evidence of us stealing the Dark Tigers, at least none from hanger 8,"

((OOC: Sorry about the extended absence, been tied up the past week. Not joining in on the exploration ship adventure, just don't have time for it right now, so I'll stick to keeping up the 'home front.' Working on a post now, will have it up sometime today or maybe tomorrow, depending on how bogged down I get with stuff. Omega, I assume your admiral character is off 'taking the war to the enemy'? If so, I'll have my character bumped up to Fleet Captain (presently, he will refuse any higher promotion), and placed in charge of the home fleet (under the assumption that any non-desk-jockey flag officers are in short supply after the Holian War and conquest/liberation of Earth, and that they're all tied up either pushing forward the new war with the ISC or securing forward borders/defensive lines/interdiction points set up to keep ISC fleets from making it to Earth.

That will also let me start laying some groundwork for the Civil War arc, with the aftermath of the Holian invasion and the clean-up. If there are any particulars there you want me to cover, send me a PM. I'll mostly be covering it through news reports my characters watch, and the political interest/activism of my main character's romantic interest, plus whatever ripples/effects are felt by my characters 'on the job,' so any character-specific stuff will be up to you guys, unless it would show up in the news, etc.))
