He accused me of trolling, and of failing to support my debate position with sufficient evidence, when I did support my position with evidence and as well as I reasonably could, and he knows it.

I have asked for an apology and he refuses to do anything to resolve my complaints against him. And he has the gall to ask me for an apology, while at the same time, refusing to address my complaints against him.

He used his Mod powers to hijack a discussion that he obviously takes a contrary position on, and harass me with constant accusatory private messages, and yet will not acknowledge that how he has treated me was unfair.

Here is an approximate link to where the problem started, in which he strayed from the discussion, towards accusing me of falsehoods.

Poll: Holding short of the Full Catastrophe
    http://sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=102962&page=3

I request an appeal, and ask that he be removed from Mod powers, or that such out-of-control Mods be disciplined.

I am a Mod or forum wizard on another website forum, and this is not the way responsible Mods behave, using their Mod power to beat up on people who have a different position on a debate issue. If I had a Mod under me who behaved this way, I would strip said Mod of any special powers.

Better post this quick, while I still can?

    WTF dude?

But, you were not trolling. You really believe what you say, and do not seem to be attempting to post simply for shock value.

(Obama didn't end the extraction of oil from the Gulf. He was trying to put a temporary end to new exploratory drilling until adequate safety measures were put in place. Measures, I should point out, that other nations do enjoy as we speak. There is a lot of oil in the Gulf, but it's not unlimited. Domestic production of oil peaked in the 1970s.)

    A quick perusal

    Interesting:

That's the first thing that stands out, especially when we look back to one of the assertions in question (e.g., the one supported by "the Bible and ... some good economic books"):

But, of course, I'm sure there's more to it, and giving you a certain amount of presumptive credit, there is an equal chance that your claim will be either substantial or nonsense. If the latter, will you be prepared to answer for wasting our time? Or is this a complaint you should consider withdrawing—and, to borrow a phrase—quick, while you still can?

I will reply to this portion only: since Pronatalist has already been informed of his options regarding his complaint (which he apparently chooses not to exercise...).
The "harassment" consisted of a PM informing him of his infraction ad a second pointing out that his large-type post immediately following the infractioned post was erroneous. After that any "harassment" was purely replies to PMs sent by Pronatalist himself. In other words, it's a false accusation.
I have better things to do than "harass" posters.

Thanks for sticking up for me, defending my claim that I was not trolling.

Yes, this is what Obama claims, but I do not believe him. And over half the country isn't buying Obama-nomics. He has shown a continuing pattern of trying to destroy the country, which is treason. I suppose you don't want me to spend too much time to prove this here, as it may be too much off topic? And I do have an errand to go run, so my time at the moment is limited.

It wasn't fair to punish other oil companies, for what BP supposedly did, nor to extort $20 billion from BP, changing the laws or standards concerning this, after the fact.

I'm sure the debates about BP and Obama will rage for years, all over the forums and talk radio, but I find it sad to hear of not only oil rigs leaving the gulf, to go to other countries where even deep-water drilling is allowed, but also now-unemployed oil rig workers leaving the country. If I had such a valuable skill, and couldn't exercise it here in the U.S., I'd probably leave the country too. I fear it's just another sign of our once-great country going down the toilet of Obama-nomics.

Obviously, if Obama was to come right out and say that it was his intention to trash the economy, then we would have a major crisis, to say the least. A military coup against Obama, would be but just 1 unpleasant scenario. So if it is his intension to ruin this country for some reason, we wouldn't expect him to readily confess to it, would we? I'll be happy to discuss this more later, if you prefer.

Trying to answer, and yet wind it down, as I don't have time to debate Obama's intentions, something hard to prove for sure, as none of us can read his thoughts, right now.

But please understand, quite many Americans are hopping mad, discouraged, depressed, unemployed, losing their homes to foreclosure, with a nagging feeling that our country is failing, and that something is dreadfully wrong. Even if there's some disagreement upon who to blame it on. Unfortunately, I have serious doubts that November will be sufficient to fix what is ailing this country. I fear it's a much deeper national sin issue, than what an election can simply fix.

Fortunately, the internet does give us a great place to discuss all these potentially contentious issues.

I think we currently aren't talking. Perhaps later?

So far, talking to you seems a pointless waste of time.

If somebody thinks I didn't "prove" my points well enough, why would it be required? In most any debate, it's near impossible to "prove" every point. I answered his questions, the best I reasonably could.

I do like to cite sources, when I can, but then, the time required to compose posts could grow excessively, and my sometimes long posts, tend to grow too long. Am I wrong to assume that other people can google as well as I can? What if I don't have a handy link? Should I just post the top 100 links that pop up on google? The topic was highly religious from the start, so why wouldn't the Bible be a possible acceptable source for evidence then?

I found it very upsetting, to see the discussion stray, through no fault of my own, to baseless accusations and bullying.

Do you suggest I withdraw my complaint? Maybe? If that is best?

I just would like to post freely, and say my piece, to be accepted or rejected, but at least heard, without some Mod beating me up for no reason, or because they take the other side of the debate, thinking they can "win" the debate by any unfair means necessary? It's very disruptive, and a huge waste of my time.

I would be glad to list a very long list of references, when I write my book, if ever. But I am unpaid, I have somewhere to go, and I can't be jumping through endless hoops to "prove" my every point, that I thought I had defended well enough, to somebody who doesn't want to believe what I have to say, no matter how much evidence shown. Why isn't it to be expected, in debates, sometimes have to agree to disagree, and move on to the next points? Didn't he even accuse me of not responding to points, that I had already responded to? I don't have endless time for pointless arguments that don't even show any respect for the other party.

It was a religious topic, so why mock my faith? Can "religion" always be proven by science? Then why isn't the entire world, all agreeing upon the truth then?

What is asked of me, is unreasonable or impossible. Give me a break, please.

Catch you all, probably tomorrow, and thanks for your consideration. Got to go on my errand.

Why? Because right wing propaganda has led you to believe he is a Muslim? Not a citizen? A black revolutionary that intends to turn the US socialist? LOL. The fact is the right wing's only interest is making more money, hiding it from taxes, and whisking it away where they can enjoy having their money make more money. They have no interest in the well-being of this country. You are being played to support the agenda of the ultra-rich. While I'm sure they appreciate your support, you will recieve nothing for it but a trip to the poor house (which we don't have anymore thanks to Social Security).

Even Bush followed the strategy of stimulating the economy in order to bring us out of recession. We learned a lot after the first Republican great depression, which was caused by de-regulation of the financial markets. Free market economics caused the collapse, it happened during Bush's presidency. Obama did nothing to contribute to this mess. Obama did many things right. Granted, half the country proved themselves to be idiots by voting for Bush in the first place. The recession should have proved to America that the Republicans cannot be trusted with anything.

By trying to improve the economy? What are you smoking? The previous actually commited treason by outing the identity of a covert CIA agent, for which one of them was convicted. They took us into war on a lie and got thousands of American soldiers killed. They were war criminals and should be tried at the Hague.

Yes it was fair. They spoiled our waters. They deliberately ignored safety measures.

I'm sure you weren't paying attention, but it went down the toilet before Obama was even sworn into office. Have you no sympathy for the fishermen of the Gulf? What about the millions of gallons of toxic chemicals pumped into what is now a huge dead zone in the middle of one of the formerly most productive areas on Earth? One fisherman even killed himself.

If your intention was to ruin sciforums, you wouldn't say that would you? But why would you think this in the first place? There is absolutely no reason to think so, this is Obama's country too. What is your problem with him? Do you say that about all Democrats? He is a centrist Democrat, even the left is mad at him for being too conservative!!!

His intentions are to fix the effects of the last 30 years of corporate Republican rule.

The last 30 years of corporate rule. Note that the housing collapse also happened under Republican rule.

Well certainly the answer isn't to go back to the people that ruined it in the first place.

What a pussy. Grow a pair FFS. I wouldn't call your posts trolling, but you sure were preaching...which is also against the rules.

But you must also be able to substantiate your claim. What he has done is expect you to substantiate your claim.

You may post freely, but if you make a claim, then you have to back it up and not expect others to do it for you. The rules of this site are clear on the matter.

If you feel the expectation of substantiating your claims is a waste of your time, might I suggest you find another forum that will allow you to post whatever you want without any expectation that you be able to prove what you say?

This forum has the expectation that you be able to substantiate what you claim. It is cited in the rules very clearly. Even simple links would be sufficient.

    Pronatalist,

IMO you're a troll or at least have been.

    Here:

    http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=101190

See my posts 32-34-36 and 44

Then look at your response post 51

Then you tell me where once I suggested any of the things you accuse me of in my posts.

Where do I say waste our money on a bloated system.

The answer to the original OP IMO is a better educated populace. That's it.

You and Norsefire need to offer a real answer to improving education for ALL with a system that will perform better than what we have instead of just pointing fingers.

You like to run your mouth without offering an alternative that is viable.

You start to comment on education and it's impact on "people not having children they can't afford" and end up in a right wing diatribe.

Which is why I didn't even bother to answer. What's the point.

    Troll.
