How do you think people in rural areas get rid of unwanted puppies?

Why they kill the puppies?
Because they can not feed them.They already have their parents and it is enough.
Why not abandon them?
Since they seem cruel to let them starve.After their conception, death by drowning is the fastest.
I have seen similar actions making crying.Put puppies in a sack, tied the bag and threw the bag into the river, while crying and asking forgiveness.
What else could they do?

It's dictionary.com. It may be a website owned by Ask.com, but that doesn't make it the same thing. Besides, it's quoting well known dictionaries.
Also, I really don't see what point you are trying to make by saying I got it from Ask.com. It's not as if I need any dictionaries to know what the word means, you apparently do.

Did she try to advertise or give the puppies away for free?

Did she check if there was a humane society that would take them?

If she really wasn't getting a kick out of throwing them in the river, wouldn't she have done it more discreetly?
