Success in any terms is measured by a persons ability to get away with whatever scheme they have made into their lifes work. Whether it is trickery, ploy, or utmost truth. Sucess of a man is marked in history by his superior psychological hold on the values of people in the communities today. Still it is important to know that every society learns from the past mistakes of great men and women. The errs in someones judgements are only lapses in a strong persons beliefs in history. When high evils are committed then men may consider sucess, but is only a serious lapse in judgement. When a man in history does good his morals, opinions, and stories are used in good conscious by the society. But the ability to do anything you want at any point in time is ultimate success. To think one can get away with everything is "naive". But we are all children at heart. We wish to get away with it, but only to satisfy our own "needs". What's need to you is nihil to most; this is the mark of sucess. To enjoy your life is and always will be success. If you can avoid your missdeads in life at the time of your death, more success to you. Strong men and women make the world "turn". But what is truly successful is not to be known by name for name sake, but known by your ability to give success to a whole society.
I have had a successful life at the age of 33- I was fufilled. Then I went through a divorce. Now I live a second life. My life expects more from reality than young lust and there are a growing number of disenchanted people who are looking for something different like me.

No matter how much wealth you accumulate, how many possessions you own, no matter how many people think very highly of you - if you are not being you and are not doing what you love, then you are a failure, and you will know this." ...and an Existential take: "The greatest task that each of us faces is to accept that we are not exceptional, that we are just a regular person like everybody else. If we can accomplish this, then we are successful." I think that we each define our own success. We then pass or fail according to our choices.
