Yeah, lol Kamina is hilarious. His idea of "combining" is just stabbing the drill of Lagann through the top of his mech. Too bad he died

Ok, so you know where this is coming from : My list is :

B5 > ST > DW > SW .... (there are a few that fit inbetween)

That is to say that I love ALL sci-fi, but In order of story/universe preference i rank them that way.

B5 would be trounced by almost every other one on the list.

Was the story telling cool : Yes
Were the ships cool : Yes
Could they 1:1 any other race : Probably not.

But it was a great series.

B5 is my favorite, then DS9 and after that its a mix depending on my mood.

JMS gave equal canon status to his books and a few other things he was involved in and the first ones like the shadows and vorlons ect would wipe the floor with all the 40k races, SW and the ancients in stargate all at the same time.

"Primordial battle crabs" flown by the shadows themselves that easily slice through planets as easily as the weak fast grown babies we see i the TV series sliced through younger race ships.

Millions upon millions of fleets consisting of billions of ships each per first one race spread out around the galaxy dormant until needed.

Worm tech that gets shot into planets and quicky pumps out thousands of ships after ships from the planets material.

A MASSIVE time war that forced the race the "first one" came from to sacrifice themselves into becoming part of the space time continuum to save reality and prevent any time travel apart from through rifts like the one in B5 space (sector 14).

Shadow armour that wrapped itself around Galen (the technomage from crusade) allowing him to sit at ground zero where Sheridan dropped the white-star and the multiple 500 megaton nukes and survive it...

So yea B5 EU rocks and is written to fit with the TV series but with much larger scope given to the real power the first ones have that was not needed or used during the series and reserved for real threats like other first ones and third space aliens.

I havent read the books or EU stuff, But yes on second thought, I might concede that it could hold its own. There were things i hadn't thought of, (like namely they are the only universe i know of that can bring the dead back completely.... )

The EU stuff is great, imagine JMS who wrote the B5 series doing the same thing but on a massivly more detailed scope that only the written word can convey, and he fits in and justifies it perfectly and very cleverly with the B5 universe you know.

The in SW a few fanboys tried to force us to accept retarded firepower claims we never see using the ICS but JMS did not bother trying he very cleverly through his stories and situations explained that the first one ships ect that we saw in the series were just fast grown babies used in the younger races wars and the big stuff was for the real fighting the first ones did against their own level of stuff.

JMS is part of the team doing the new Thor movie so i am hoping he will bring some scope to it like he did the B5 series.

actually the greatest Sci-fi series ever made is the Twilight Zone, but hey we are talking consistant universes here, not hard core sci-di.

Gundam would kick ass. I challenge any Star Trek fans willing to take this issue up.

Gundam 00? Well it is a kick ass show, and the movie is even better.

    http://www.animefreak.tv/watch/mobile-suit-gundam-00-english-dubbed-online-free

At first glance, they might lose to Star Trek, but once you get to the movie, you will know why Star Trek would get their asses kicked.

I will start the thread tomorrow, too lazy today, I know people will have little knowledge of it, so I will provide most of the resources ( clips ) needed to prove why Gundam can kick Star Trek's ass.

EDIT: Never mind, nothing to do, I will start today.

No, trust me man, you want subbed....well depends on who subbed it though, some translators suck, as with the editors, but some are professional-quality. I forgot who are the good subbers, usually animefreak ( the link I gave you ) is pretty good. Trust me, the original voice actors are better, I just can't take the dubbed actors seriously enough lol.

When I first watched it, it was subbed.
