Have you heard this one before?

To the tune of "If you're happy and you know it clap
    your hands..."

If you cannot find Osama, bomb Iraq.
If the markets are a drama, bomb Iraq.
    If the terrorists are frisky,
    Pakistan is looking shifty,
    North Korea is too risky,
    Bomb Iraq.

If we have no allies with us, bomb Iraq.
If we think someone has dissed us, bomb Iraq.
So to hell with the inspections,
Let's look tough for the elections,
Close your mind and take directions,
    Bomb Iraq.

    It's "pre-emptive non-aggression", bomb Iraq.
Let's prevent this mass destruction, bomb Iraq.
They've got weapons we can't see,
And that's good enough for me
'Cos it'all the proof I need
    Bomb Iraq.

If you never were elected, bomb Iraq.
If your mood is quite dejected, bomb Iraq.
If you think Saddam's gone mad,
With the weapons that he had,
(And he tried to kill your dad),
    Bomb Iraq.

If your corporate fraud is growin', bomb Iraq.
If your ties to it are showin', bomb Iraq.
    If your politics are sleazy,
    And hiding that ain't easy,
    And your manhood's getting queasy,
    Bomb Iraq.

Fall in line and follow orders, bomb Iraq.
For our might knows not our borders, bomb Iraq.
    Disagree? We'll call it treason,
Let's make war not love this season,
    Bomb Iraq.

    sad isnt it

you would think that people would be smart enough to work out that IF he HAD those weapons then he is a HELL of a lot more likly to use them if you back him into a corner and he is fighting for his life

wouldnt you plan it that if you were going to die those who killed you suffer?

You know, this is the first time I've heard anyone say there is no proof after the sattilite photos and intelligence data has been released. Truth be told, this isn't about wether or not Iraq has weapons or not, it is about percieved American imperialism. It doesn't matter how many UN resolutions Saddam broke, how often he is stalling UN weapons inspectors, or if he is funding Al-Quaida. Since the US was the one who stood up and said that action needs to be taken, they are the bad guys.

The UN has been weakened. If Europe as a whole is unable to stand up and take military action to enforce its resolutions, then the ONLY develped country in the world left with the might to do so is the United States. This is indeed a grave prospect, because it will mean the United Nations has lost power as a collective agency to keep the peace and order throughout the world. Many of the recent wars that have broken out, like in Rhewanda, Afghanistan, Kosavo, and many others are because the sphere of influence for those countries - the Warsaw Pact and thus the USSR no longer exists. The United States keeps a number of coutries in line within it's sphere of influence just like the USSR did... and the collapse of that super-power has left many countries without it's strongest allie and thus greatest protection. It is only natural then, that fear of the United States should rise as the only remaining super-power, and indeed, mayhaps the only significant military power left.

I've seen the photos, and although I lack the title of "military specialist" I didn't see a damn thing on any of them that would suggest weapons. However, I do know that there are weapons in Iraq, weapons that we provided during their war with Iran. We also gave some to the Iranians, for profit on our side, no doubt.

At least lately he hasn't been stalling them, to the best of my knowledge, and last I heard Osama had, in his last speech, asked the Iraqis to rise up against Saddam.

"Developed" is such a relative word, isn't it? Please define it for me, I'm very curious.

The USSR may have been their greatest protector, but also their greatest opressor. This also applies to the United States.

I read your stuff, Adam. Half the time it seemed you were either giving Iraq the benefit of the doubt. Would you give an employee known to steal from shelves the benefit of the doubt if you saw him moving suspiciously?

we will just bomb the bastards, and see what happens. I wouldn't have voted for bush, but oh well. What can us americans really do about the state of the union?! I was talking with this kid the other day who attended a peace rally locally that had 500 attendants. then I convinced him that doesn't really mean shit, since nobody cares about our state anyways, and bush would just as quickly bomb our state along with Iraq. so I am just going to live with what bush decides. and any AMERICAN who doesn't believe that they are inferior should just try telling bush what to do.

    Excellent ....

That is the best lyric I've seen for that melody since Steven Brust's "I Was Born About Ten Million Songs Ago".
