Why do you say "our" condition. It was their condition that was the problem.

What do you expect? You train people to kill, that human life means less than there orders and then wonder why when they dehumanizie people and kill without concionce. At least the Police are trained to use deadly force as a last resort to save there own life or that of another. They millarty are taught to attack and kill with no regard. Hell I have herd stories of US snipers shooting to cause maximum pain without killing straight off. If these people worked for the mob we would call them sociopathic serial killers

Here's the rolling stone arty on this sick bastard(and the others who went with him on it):

    http://www.rollingstone.com/kill-team

It was only a matter of time until their trophy photos hit the 'net.

Morlocks...the name H.G. Wells used for his subterranean monsters who came out at night to hunt their(post)human victims...

I think that's a danger, but not a necessary consequence of being a soldier.

The problem isn't how we train our soldiers. In a straight up war, everything you said would be right. The problem is that we're using soldiers as police,...... instead of using police as police.

We aren't sending our police to Afghanistan.

for every here who is saying BAD SOLDIER.. you need to re evaluate things why? these men and women maybe ones you love. when they are sent over they HAVE to change and get the mantality either kill or be killed.. and the easiest way to do that is to not think of them as a human. NOONE knows the story before this. maybe that boy killed 2 or 3 of our men and they did that as a tropy. is it right? NO but that is the mantality they need to survive and unless you are in there situation you cannot comment and say they are in the wrong.

I know this is a small thread so far but I find it facinating that no one has disagreed with my post yet which likens solders to sociopaths. I expected to come back to find half a dozen or more chest beating "surport our troop" posts. Interesting

It's certainly possible that the military would attract sociopaths, or even bring out latent tendencies. I can say that and still support our troops.

It's not the first time this has happened by a long shot. Abu Grabe was notorious for American servicemen and their depravity. It seems to be mainly Americans that repeatedly do this sort of crap. Are they particularly dumb, because they keep doing the same shit, and they keep getting caught?
To me it's just plain disgusting, and just reinforces the hatred against them. Justifiable hatred when this kind of thing is going on, and this is just the stuff we know about - God alone knows what doesn't get out into the public arena.
Its no good saying it isn't an American problem, cos it is. You don't get this sort of thing from other forces anything like as bad as the US. Something is seriously rotten in the system that produces people like this.

i dont get how people can judge our soldiers.. expecially ones that havent been in any sort of fight what so ever.. yet they are experts on what is humane and what isnt in times of war

Every human being with a conscience can judge them by what they have allegedly done.
