I have to laugh again. First, the odds of the disciples moving a HUGE rock that guarded the tomb without waking even ONE guard is highly improbable. Secondly, Rome became one of the most powerful empires the world has ever known, and not by employing guards that would all fall asleep at their post. I mean, DUUUUUHHHHHH. C'mon, man, where's your reply? What? WHAT?

They must have seen the Resurrection with their own eyes, these alert and highly trained professional guards ("from one of the most powerful empires the world has ever known" Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!, and then said what to their superiors when the body went missing?</p> I would think that they would be converted on the spot and become original Christians.</p> </blockquote> </font> </body> </html> [This message has been edited by 2+2 (edited September 03, 1999).]
2 + 2, Jesus, on occasion, hid Himself while in plain sight of others. He even made Himself unrecognizable to those that knew Him already. I'm sure God has the lightest tippy toes there ever were. Also, the people of Israel saw Jesus perform miracles right in front of their eyes. Many of them just became more enraged. There's a saying that no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the average man. Even having seen, can you really say that they would have been converted on the spot?
