    Hi
I wonder if anybody has such an experience about my situation.I'm an electronics engineer working as a software engineer. And now, I want to do a mathematics master. I know, this is not a common way. What do you suggest me? Did anyone do such a thing before?

    Thanks in advence.

I used to do the accounting for a well know company that had many government contracts. Though this was back in the 80's we had as many as 60 electrical engineers and programmers/techs working on the contracts that I was responsible to do the accounting for. Our company supported continuing education if it was in a field that pertained to our business. My suggestion is to check with your employer or with the company you contract with and see if they will help fund you in your mathematical efforts.

There is no reason you couldn't go that way to broaden you expertise and your value to your employer.

thats a very knowledgeable response q_wave.

I started off doing computer engineering but even then, I could only build up the desire to take mathematics classes exclusively, dreading taking anything else. This summer semester I finally switched to math, and it was the most rewarding idea I ever had.

    Good luck man
