I am sure most of you have a shortcut to this site but whenever I go here, I google it to give the site a bump. In the past few days, when you google sciforums you get a prominent response, including all the sub-categories. Try it out. And bump this site whenever you can!

What do you mean bump . I usually enter Me-Ki-Gal and Me profile comes up then I can log in from there or just go straight to new posts. I want to know what bumping is so I can do the Bump also . I like Bumping as much as anyone . Are you in are you out . Me and and boys are going to make a one night stand .

You bump the site by Googling it. The more hits Google gets for "sciforums", the higher they rank "sciforums" as the #1 response. My OP was pointing out that not only do you get "sciforums", it also lists the sub-categories... this is a new added feature- perhaps I bumped them enough!

The more you Google bump a site, the higher it ranks. So stop being lazy and shortcutting it, google it!

    Google vs. In-House

One thing to do is use Google to search for old posts or threads. I do this a lot because it's faster than coming to Sciforums and clicking through pages. Over time, Sciforums has become the number one result for the phrase "the gay fray", which is an EM&J topic I've maintained for years.

Also, our in-house search engine has some certain shortcomings; it's generally faster to use Google for this, as well.
