Proud university drop out here... 2.5 years into a 5 year Bachelor of Applied Science (physics) combined with a Bachelor of Engineering (electronic), I decided that flying sounded cooler and I don't regret it in any way shape or form.
I found this thread interesting. Hadn't really thought that other country's had different terminology for "graduating". I will add that I have a high school diploma. A 2 year vocational "degree". But I think what you learn sometimes out of school really is a asset as well. I have learned many things. That are very helpful to me now.
I'm 58. I run into lots of forums on the internet where theists and atheists debate. Then I try to ask how old they are, and I get no answer or under 30. My take on this is that people under 30 want to debate, and win debates. Often by embarrassing the poor theist. Often they deserve it but the methods are often rude. I'm more into comedy.
As usual, I cannot participate in the poll. Is it closed already or what? Why can I never vote in SciForum polls?
The original poll was put forwards in 2009, it was originally left open for probably 1 year. At which time it would of automatically sealed itself from more votes, the only reason is purely because people move on and old information becomes stale. Perhaps a new poll could be created using the refined academic terminology.
