Is is acceptable that God is unaccountable to us in return for our support and accountability? IMO, extrapolating from this video, I dont think this is acceptable. That video explains what I think far more eloquently than my present capabilities allow me to, hence the argument whoring which would be otherwise not allowed in the making so such a case. This is just the start-off, hope that this and other videos I have linked here can fuel the discussion on this thread.

Is that the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Deity?

Some people are fine with God not being accountable, it's all about submission to authority, not fairness. In fact, there are some passages in the Bible that describe God lying and deceiving people.

I can't quite tell what you're getting at. Are you asking if it's "cool" that God is unaccountable? If it is in fact morally sound that a judge, jury, and executioner are not bound to the same moral laws we are bound to? The answer to that would be no, and for the same reasons we wouldn't grant immunity to earthly judges, juries, or executioners.

Not sure I understand the question. If God exists, it is what it is.

    Indeed.
Furthermore , if it's not acceptable to you, don't accept it and believe in something else. You won't find such a God changing His position because you find it unacceptable.
If you're going to believe in God, at least believe in one that you find acceptable.

A supreme being could do whatever it wanted, even moreso than a cruel dictator who changes the rules to fit his mood. Would it be acceptable for this to happen, probably not. But it's hard to argue with a god.

I reference the story Job: A Comedy of Justice as to how it's not fair to have a god bend rules to his liking, and maybe one solution.

One could certainly argue with a god. But not with God.
Since God (with the capital G) is usually defined as being the one who runs the whole enterprise called "Life, the Universe and Everything" there isn't really a problem.

That is a nonsense statement. And God with a capital G is simply another name for Yahweh, the Judeo-Christian god.

    Explain why you think so.

    In your mind, perhaps.

Because a creator is a creator; there is no inherent hierarchy. And if one cannot argue with "the" god, it makes no sense that they would be able to argue with other gods, even if we assume those other gods are somehow lesser.

    Nope. It's just a fact.

^Well there can only be one God without any limits.

No, there can not be. A god is limited by logic. That's the beauty of logic.

Can a god make a universe not created by god? No.

I second the recommendation of Job: A Comedy of Justice. (Robert Heinlein)

I believe the question that our dear friend here is trying to raise is this “how can one believe in the full credibility of a single all powerful deity that is strongly beloved, when all the other gods in history are though less of as mere myths. It’s more a question of believing in the creditability of said deity than accountability of these “gods” more than anything.
