Envelop at left of topic in the list of topics

Anytime you see the envelop you have at least one post in that thread, and if you put your pointer on it, it tells you how many posts you have in that topic. Anyway I thought it was kind of cool.

When you use a phone to post an there is no mobil phone option available. This sucks. I'm trying to save for a computer but when other "needs" have to be met. Its going to take me a while. (My baby does come first). So I'm am trying to "work" with it, but I say again it sucks for me because 90 something % of the time I use my phone the other little bit is a lybrary computer. I liked the other way better.

Is there an equalivent to the "User CP"? That shows the threads that I replied in and whether they have a new reply? If it is not there, then this new forum sucks and it will reduce activity on sciforums because it is harder to see which of your threads have been replied to.

To see your subscribed threads, click on "Quick links->Subscribed threads" in the top menu bar.

The equivalent to "User CP" is "Settings" in the top right corner.

Please DUMP new fromat and return to old

When you quote someone´s post (or part of it) to comment, that text becomes all italics - destroying any italics used in it to set off part.
Also if the text being quoted contained any colored text, the color is lost when you quote it. I.e. the original now being quoted text was red does not work.
Also while possible to see new activity in your subscribed threads with one click as in convenient old form (use settings, not quick links) only a few (three it seems to be) posts are given without more clicks.
Also each post now requires more vertical space to display so to read several posts that have been made since your last visit, you need to page down one or more times.
Also you must copy and past what you want to quote of another´s post or try to used the very confusing advanced option - not just one click on old "quote" button.

SUMMARY: THERE IS NOTHING THAT IS BETTER AND MUCH THAT IS WORSE, MUCH WORSE. I.e. dump this FUFFH (F- - ked Up Format From Hell)

Hmm... it might be possible to change the italic thing if it bothers enough people. Not sure about color yet.

I see more than three threads when I click "settings". Are you sure it isn't just showing you the threads that have been updated since your last visit?

Probably true, but I think not a major issue.

The old "quote" button is now "Reply with Quote", below each post. And the multi-quote button is just next to "Reply with Quote".

Is there now a timed logoff? I walked away for some hours, and when I came back I was logged out.

Possibly that value has been reset.

I'll keep a note of the issues that people mention in this thread and pass them on to the site owners.

    James,

So now we can only view our or someone else's latest posts? Your profile shows only nine of your posts.

I see that someone thought it imperative to change the name of this thread while I slept.

That strikes me as freaking hilarious. MacGyver had nailed it the first time.

    Whatever......

vB version upgrades always come with bugs. Sometimes the Admins can fix things by manipulating the code internally. At other times, they will need to open a ticket at vB support. Been there done that on another board. One nice advantage we had was a mirror site which was only available to Admins and staff. We would upgrade the mirror board first and then test/tweak everything for about a month before upgrading the main site. This discovery/fix process eliminated about 90% of all new-version bugs. Another thing the members should keep in mind is that it is imperative to keep up with vB upgrades in order to implement the latest vB security upgrades/patches.

    Congrats on the software upgrade!

Is it tedious and time consuming? What about our statistics? Can we find all of our posts?

We'll check if there's new version of Latex.
Regarding post statistics, yes I've noticed that users can see only latest posts in their profiles. Will be checked.

And avatar size is now 100x100px.

Update didn't affect the LaTex. It is working (there's sticky in Physics & Math forum on how it works).

    \(\int \limits_a^b 4x^2~dx\)
    \(\sum \limits_{n=1}^4 n = 10\)
