It has come to my attention many individuals have forgotten how the theory of relativity was created... Or why the word "invariant" is used.

They remember why and how to use it, but can't explain its origin fully.

    Let's start with A^2 + B^2 = C^2

C^2 is a boat on a river moving upstream at absolutely any speed you wish. A and B are photons at two separate locations infinite points away from C.

How fast is C moving relative to "both" of our "combined" photons?

First visualize the two points A and B. Now make them move outward equally.

Now move C around in any direction at any speed. Since all three are entangled, we can say that point A or B is moving away from C at light speed; or we can say A and B are moving away from each other at light speed, but we want to know how fast C is moving relative to the expansion of the universe.

You will find that C is not moving at any speed. It is "stuck" in time. When you think of this in your head before you do the math you get an infinite^2 + an infinite^2 = Zero^2 because point C's movement is "always" going to be statistically insignificant with respect to both points. Even if C is moving at light speed.

Wouldn't A, B, and C have to be line segments? Otherwise, I don't see how this set up could even make any sense.

Um..... sure draw line segments if that helps.

Do I have to draw a line at light spped?

    What's a traingle?

Then you should open with a presentation of the work by Lorentz and Einstein.

    In what context?

Then just review Lorentz/Einstein and be done with it.

You haven't established a factual predicate for this statement.

C^2 is not a boat, nor is it a valid metaphor. Points are not defined at infinite distances, and if C^2 is a boat, C cannot be a point since that would require the square root of a boat to equal a point, which is meaningless and absurd.

    This statement is absurd.

That would require the introduction of reference frames, which you haven't established.

All of this is meaningless BS.

Probably something off Chuck and Larry...

"Now place the ring on his hand. A ring is like a circle, it goes on forever. It's not like a triangle, triangle have corners. It's like a circle."

    ok...

    \(A^2 + B^2 = C^2 A+B=C AC+BC=C^2 AC=C^2 - BC \frac{AC}{BC}=C^2 \frac{A}{B}=C^2 A=BC^2 \)

    Apply logic to any concept......

You should probably stay out of the math section... It's obviously not your strong suit.

    A=BC^2 (-) 0

    Does that make you happy?

This isn't statistics class Mrs. Geer... Words have no mathematical value...

    True....

But thanks to you my forte is insignificance. As far as verbiage goes. We both know I suck at simple math, until today...

Come on I just showed that in reality triangles are mathematically circles. Give me some kind of props for remembering there are no straight lines in nature.
