    Just out of curiosity I wondered the age of the posters here are sciforums. I believe some are actually quite ancient like me and yet some are quite young.
    so the poll is there for you to select your age range if you wish to participate in this survey. [note: this is not sponsored by the site management and is designed only for a general info outcome]
    And for all the oldies out there , yes .. there is even a age range for me and you!!!

    Not really. I'll be 70 next month. We have a couple of members in their 80s.

    Right now I'm in the process of completing my 50th lap around the sun. I'm anticipating the completion of this lap in October, but ya never know!

    By the way, what do you mean by "Way too old"? If it's pole vaulting, then yes.

    But even at 70 my mind is still very sharp.

    I think if you had to you'd give pole vaulting a try... [chuckle]
    Just that us oldies apply a little acquired wisdom to what we try to vault over and what we don't....

    Unlike many others my age - especially women - my bone density has changed very little since I was 40. For one thing, I drink about a gallon of milk every day and get plenty of vitamin D.

    I'm 58 but there was no viable option for me to enter into that into the poll.

    seriously, I thought maybe two or three members, max, would be over 50 which is why I worded the poll like I did... sorry peoples... It appears that "Club 50 Plus" is considerably more populated than I thought.

    Hubby and I went to town yesterday for some 'retail therapy', an activity that we undertake a couple of times a year as a shared outing. We both enjoy cooking and so the staff in the kitchen shops rub their hands with glee when we darken their doorway. (The presence of a woman has a multiplier effect on a man's willingness to part with his money of approximately tenfold if subjective data is admissible.

    )

    In order to maximize the reward factor for my man, I selected my wardrobe with care, navy yoga pants with a slight flare to the leg, a medium blue sleeveless T with a V-neck, a handmade braided hemp choker with a few glass live-saver beads of complimentary colors woven in and medium length dangling earrings of tiny pieces of turquoise on golden wire that added a sense of energy to my movement. I added just a touch of shadow and mascara to emphasize my eyes and wore my waist length hair pulled back in a simple pony tail.

    Looking in the mirror, I was pleased with the results of my minimal efforts. I could pass for forty on this day. Given that hubby turns 55 this year and he is my 'toy boy', that's not too shabby, lol... Oh yes, 'Vanity, thy name is woman' definitely applies here.

    The purpose of the mission was shopping and spending the day together with our clothes on, lol...

    I am well aware of the nuances of color. I did not want hubby to rush the experience of enjoying the shops in anticipation of dessert before dinner.
